Instant Pot Spaghetti Meat Sauce

Ingredients

• 1 lb ground beef
• ½ onion, sliced thinly
• 1 tbsp oil
• ½ sweet pepper, small, diced
• 1 can tomato paste (4oz)
• 1 can tomatoes diced, ( 28oz)
• 1 can sliced mushrooms (optional)
• 1 tsp dried chili flakes
• 1 tsp garlic, minced
• 3 tsp Italian herbs
• 1 cup beef stock
• salt to taste
• freshly ground pepper taste
• Parmesan cheese

Directions

1. Press “sauté” on the IP and put the oil in the pot
2. When oil is hot, add the beef to brown, and then add the onions and peppers
3. When beef is completely brown, and veggies are soft, add the rest of the ingredients to the bowl.
4. Give it a stir and put the lid on the pot, and move the switch to “seal”
5. Press manual power for 10 minutes.
6. Do a quick release and remove the lid.
7. If you find the sauce has a bit too much liquid, press the sauté button and let it sauté for a few minutes to evaporate some of the liquid. (I found you didn’t need to do this.)
8. While you’re waiting for the sauce to cook, boil some spaghetti to tender, and drain.
9. When serving, garnish with some shredded parmesan cheese.
