I have really never met a cookie that I didn't like. I am pretty equal opportunity when it comes to cookies as well. I will try almost any cookie and then I love to try to recreate those cookies recipes in my kitchen. Chocolate and toffee are literally two of my most favorite combinations ever. These Toffee Chunk Chocolate Cookies combine two flavors that I absolutely love and these cookies are so incredibly delicious that I really never want to share them with anyone.

We have been sharing some fun cookie recipes lately and this one is no different. No matter what kind of cookies you like best, you will most definitely enjoy these delicious cookies.

Toffee Chunk Chocolate Cookies


  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ + 1/8  cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1/8 cup special dark cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup soft butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 full size Heath candy bars

  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Unwrap your Heath candy bars and cut them in half the long way.  Then cut into cubes, you will want larger pieces to ensure you get the full toffee goodness.
  3. Sift together the flour, salt and baking soda and set aside.  Cream together butter, sugars and eggs for until smooth, add in the coco powder.  Slowly start to add in the flour mixture.  Mix in your toffee pieces so they are even throughout the batter.
  4. Space the dough about 3 inches apart. Use an ice cream scoop for consistently sized cookies.
  5. Bake for 10-14 minutes (every oven is different so keep an eye as you approach the 10 minute mark.  You will want the cookies to be slightly under cooked for a perfectly chewy finish even a couple days later.
  6. As soon as the cookies come out of the oven remove from the tray and place on a clean, cool counter.  Let them rest there until fully cooled.  Store in the refrigerator for the freshest taste.

    Heath Bars are a favorite of mine. In fact, toffee of any kind is a favorite of mine, so these cookies sound great to me.
