As a kid, one of my favorite things to do was to make Rice Krispy Treats. Technically it's Rice Krispies Treats but a lot of people just look for rice crispy treats cereal and don't spell it the right way. In fact, we usually had all of the rice krispies ingredients on hand at home and would eat them warm from the pan. We hope that you love this Star Rice Krispies Treats Recipe.

Ingredients

Star Rice Krispies Treats RecipeDirections

  1. Spray 9 x 13 baking pan with non­stick spray.
  2. In a large pan melt butter and marshmallows on low heat. Once the mixture is smooth stir in the 6 cups of rice cereal and coat completely.
  3. Pour into 9 x 13 pan and press down evenly with wax paper (mixture will be sticky) or with the back of a large spoon.
  4. Use the cookie cutters to cut out the stars and set aside.
  5. Melt the Light Blue Candy Melts in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second increments stirring until melted. Let cool 1­2 minutes. Dip the Star shaped treats into the chocolate one at a time and set aside and sprinkle with multi colored nonpareils.

*If desired put the treats onto the candy sticks BEFORE dipping in the chocolates.

  22. I have not seen this book series yet – it looks like something really fun to read for kids. My daughter might be too old for it but in the event we need to pick up a gift for a birthday party this might just be a good option. Now the rice krispy treat stars, my daughter is not too old for!
