Ingredients
Directions
- Blend the chicken stock and onions using a blender or immersion blender, pureeing the onions into the stock. Transfer the blended liquid into a large pot.
- Bring mixture to a boil. Add all of the other ingredients and stir well. Reduce heat to medium or medium high depending on how hot your stove runs and cover.
- Stir every few minutes to make sure the pasta isn’t sticking and that the liquid is doesn’t start to burn on the sides. Reduce heat a bit more if needed.
- Continue cooking and stirring until the pasta archives the texture you prefer. The amount of time the pasta actually takes to cook will be longer than what the box says for boiling in water. The final cook time will depend on the amount of liquid you have, the temperature and the shape pasta so there is no exact science here, but you can plan for it to likely take roughly twice the amount of time listed on the box.
- Do not strain the liquid, it thickens as it cooks and becomes an amazing, super nutrient rich sauce that is creamy and will leave you wanting more!
