ABOUT THE PANTECH VYBE
The new Pantech Vybe messaging cell phone offers various options and modes. It has the option of either touchscreen or a full slide-out four-row QWERTY keyboard. The touchscreen is a large 3.2” display with three customizable home screens.
The Pantech Vybe cellphone has a quick camera button that allows one-touch access. The camera is a 3mp with an 8X zoom. The images that are saved can then be shared via text message, email, or any of the major social media sites. The camera allows for short videos to be taken as well as still images. Installed on the phone is a music and video player.
There is a dual-user mode that allows for a simplified menu for beginner users. It also has a more advanced mode that is customizable for the user. The dual-user mode can be easily switched back and forth without any loss of personal information on the phone.
Texting can either be done on the touchscreen or on the slide out keyboard. The slide out keyboard is a full horizontal keyboard that allows for quick texting and posting. The keys on the keyboard are backlit and slightly raised. The phone also has shortcuts for social media, such as, Facebook and Twitter. Predictive text is available while texting. Texts are threaded, so that they appear in conversation like style on the screen.
The phone does have a hands free access with a one-touch Say-a-Command button. It is Blue-Tooth compatible, as well. When the phone is slid shut, there are three touch-based function keys underneath the touchscreen display.
The memory on the phone is 42 MB, but also has a micro-SD slot that can increase the memory to 32 GB. The battery is a 1230 mAh Lithium Ion. This battery allows for up to 6.8 hours of talk time. The phone itself is less than five inches tall and weighs less than five ounces. It is powered with 230MHz Qualcomm QSC2670 chipset.
