How to Connect With Your Kids
How to Connect With Your Kids As a parent, you’re always looking for more ways to develop your relationship with your child. After all, a healthy relationship is crucial to all aspects of your...
The setting was beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. The reason was the Bosch Kitchen Re-Engineered Event. The moment I read the email with the invite, I knew that this the perfect event for me to attend.
WHY BOSCH?
“At Bosch, it’s because we relish a challenge. We prize the ability to overcome technological obstacles in order to produce precise, powerful machines that perform better, are more intuitive to use and use fewer resources, while delivering world-class performance.
Moreover, we aren’t afraid of the exacting work it takes to produce elegant, stylish products with the most advanced technology available. Combine that with rigorous technical education, strict German efficiency guidelines and over two hundred days of rain driving us inside for long periods, well, maybe it’s not that difficult to understand what drives Germans to engineer the world’s best machines.”
The day started with breakfast at the BSH Showroom prepared By Bosch chefs, Chef Brad and Chef Kyle. Then we were given the Bosch Brand Overview and information about the 125 Year Anniversary of the brand. Then we spent a few hours doing some really cool, interactive experiments.
A few of the highlights of the experiments:
Cooking with Money: don't try this at home, that is, unless if you have an induction cooktop
Water Magic: how washing your dishes can turn 2 gallons of water into hundreds
Taste Test: salmon and cookies together in the oven?! If you think something smells fishy here, think again
We also got to cook our own lunch. Now normally I like to be cooked for. However, the exception to this rule is when you (or me in this case) get to use all the Bosch, state-of-the-art kitchen appliances.
I learned a lot about induction cooking and Bosch kitchen appliances in general.
If you followed the Tweets, then you probably learned a lot. If not, here are a few of the highlights:
Average gallons of water used to wash dishes by hand: 45.
Avg dishwasher: 5.
Avg. Bosch dishwasher: 2
***********
The Bosch electric cooktop has 17 levels of power. That is some serious power.
***********
Water boils on the induction cooktop in 4 minutes. Disproving that a watched pot can indeed boil.
***********
The Bosch VitaFresh function is like fleece for your fruit!
Did I mention that all of this occured while wearing some super cool, official looking lab coats? Dude, we were seriously official.
WHY ATTEND THESE EVENTS
I get asked a lot about the value of attending events like this one. For me, I own some Bosch appliances and was already an advocate of the brand. The chance to connect with them on a more personal level and really get to know the people behind the brand is something that is very appealing to me. And I get to share that experience with you guys, my readers.
The appliances that I do not own, I got to play with and really use as if they were in my home. You cannot get that kind of experience anywhere else.

Finally, I want to leave you with a quote that is really the driving force behind the Bosch brand. For me, this perfectly summed up the kind of company that I want to spend my money with. The kind of company that I want to outfit my entire kitchen with. The kind of company that has earned my business.
“I would rather lose money than the trust of my customers.” Robert Bosch
I was invited to the Bosch Kitchen Re-Engineered Event courtesy of Bosch. They covered all of my travel expenses.
