Pigeon Forge Tennessee holds a special place in my heart. Just a few short hours away from our home in Atlanta, Pigeon Forge is a place that offers refuge from the hustle of the big city. It is a place that we as a family retreat to several times a year. It's a place where we can all relax, let our hair down, and have a little fun. I think it's the balance between quiet mountain community and entertainment available that Pigeon Forge strikes that makes the area so special.
Now of course when we come up to Pigeon Forge, we hit up Dollywood. Now if you have never been, Dollywood is an amusement park, and it's a good one. As a family, we have visited many parks across the country, and Dollywood is honestly up there with the best. The park is clean and in good repair, the people are nice, and the rides are fun. What more do you need?
But if I'm honest, what we really enjoy doing the most in Pigeon Forge are the smaller attractions. There is nothing better than spending half the day at the go-kart track as a family, and then following things up with some putt putt golf. Memories are made on those days; memories that my kids will have for the rest of their lives.
And if go-karts and golf aren't your thing, there are other options as well. We have always enjoyed hitting up Ferris Wheel, and if you have not ever experienced Goats on the Roof…well….just do it. It's a gem mine/ice cream/gift shop/fudge shop that happens to have goats on the roof. It's a quirky spot, but one you have to hit.
And if none of that sounds fun, there is still mother nature to fall back on. You will be harder pressed to find a more beautiful place on earth. Pigeon Forge offers a tremendous number of opportunities to enjoy nature, from horse back riding to fly fishing to taking a nap on the deck of a cabin in the woods, it's here.

Pigeon Forge looks like a very relaxing place. I like that it’s so green, you can definitely get some peace and quiet in nature. The Dollyland sounds like fun as well.
Pigeon Forge looks so pretty and is somewhere I’ve yet to visit in the US. I also love that Dollywood is here too, that looks like fun!

Pigeon Forge was the first vacation my husband and I took together. It was beautiful, inexpensive and a lovely vacation.

I love those kinds of places where it feels like you can get out from the never-ending noise and distractions of the big city and can find some peace in this old town atmosphere. It does look so inviting there. I know I would love to visit.

Pigeon Forge is one of my favorite places. I went to the University of Tennessee and visited Pigeon Forge regularly while I was in college. Now that my oldest daughter lives in Knoxville, I try to make it to Pigeon Forge whenever I visit…especially if it’s fall since it’s soooooo gorgeous at that time of year!
