Building and Creating Forms
Last week I talked about how in my job, I am constantly creating forms for the people that I work with and the people that I do business with. The ability to do a...
I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Rosetta Stone. I received a product and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
Did you know that more than 47% of U.S. children are below grade-level reading? That is a sad statistic and this is even sadder when it's one of your children that falls into this percentage.
My husband and are avid readers. We love books and stories yet we never dreamed our children wouldn't love reading as much as we do. But that is exactly what happened. In fact, our youngest has been behind in reading for a few years and it is a constant struggle to get her caught up. We try and try but sometimes she just wants to do it on her own rather than read with us.
We recently implemented the Rosetta Stone Kids Reading Program into our child’s reading experience to see if she would progress further on her own.
Rosetta Stone partnered with literacy experts at Lexia Learning to create the Kids Reading Program. Rosetta Stone® Kids' award-winning, research-proven technology gives children a head start with early reading skills—while unleashing their creativity and boosting their confidence.
Designed for children aged 3-7, Rosetta Stone Kids online and mobile products are engaging, entertaining, and effective.
Having a child who says that she doesn't like to read is challenging as a parent. Even more challenging when both parents love to read. Neither one of us knew how to help her besides reading to her and having her read to us every day. We needed more because that wasn't really working.
With Rosetta Stone Kids Reading Program, we were able to set aside time and a space each day where our daughter could use the program. We set a timer for 20 minutes and got her started. This was key for her success.
Her favorite part of the program was that she got to do it on her own. We heard her sounding things out when she needed to and we also heard her getting very excited when she got things right. As a parent, it feels very good to see your child do well and really enjoy something related to reading.
Technology has definitely helped us make our daughter a better reader. She has thrived with the program and in fact, started to read several other books on her own. We even took her to the book store a few days ago to stock up on some more books that she wanted to read from a series. We will happily buy her all of the books she wants!
Now you can download the Rosetta Stone Kids Reading Program and try it out for free! We got our free demo download rosettastone.com/kids for the first level of the program and encouraged you to do the same.
