It's almost Halloween or you are reading this in spring and dreaming about Halloween. That's kind of how it is in my family. We start planning for next Halloween every November 1st and it doesn't stop until we hit Halloween. That is how much we love the holiday. The Halloween costumes, the decor, and most of all the food are some of the things that we love about Halloween. We hope that this Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats recipe post inspires you.
Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats

- Grease an 8×8 pan or line with parchment paper. Set aside
- In a medium pan, melt butter on low.
- Once the butter is melted, stir in the entire bag of mini marshmallows.
- Stir until all of the marshmallows are melted.
- Stir in the Rice Krispies cereal until everything is completely mixed together. It will be very sticky.
- Using a plastic spatula, pour the Rice Krispies mixture into the 8×8 pan.
- Using the plastic spatula, press down the mixture until it is completely even.
- Let sit for 15-20 minutes to harden.
- Using the pumpkin cookie cutter, cut the Rice Krispy treats. Sit in the freezer for 5 minutes.
- Cut out the pumpkin Rice Krispies treats outline them with orange icing gel and then fill it in. (DO NOT LINE OR FILL IN THE STEM)
- Outline the stem with green icing gel and fill it in.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
