How to Relax and Enjoy ‘Me Time’

How to Relax and Enjoy ‘Me Time'

This post has been sponsored by Nonni’s. I received product and compensation, but all opinions are my own.

I spend a lot of time at home with the kids. Between homeschooling and working, there are just times when I absolutely need a break. I mean we all kind of get to that point, right? It's not always easy to leave the house, so I need to take me time when I can, where I can, and with my favorite things. When I need ‘me time,' I tend to take to practice yoga, grab a glass of wine and Zoom call with a friend, meditate or just sit and relax on my back deck listening to the sounds of nature. I enjoy treating myself because it makes me happy and it lets me celebrate the good things in life. Here are a few of our favorite tips to relax and really enjoy your ‘me time.'

Grab your favorite drink.

I love chamomile tea in the early evening or a glass of wine like a Sauvignon Blanc.

Sit in a comfortable spot.

In my house, this is sometimes the hammock on our deck or the extra deep loveseat in the living room. Find or create that spot in your home.

Enjoy guilt-free snacking

This is huge for me. I am absolutely a snacker. I graze sometimes the entire day because my body prefers small meals every few hours. That's how I keep my energy up. We love the Nonni's THINaddictives cookies – especially the Mango Coconut flavor – because they give me the perfect moment of sweet indulgence. This better-for-you treat turns ‘me time' into a real moment to celebrate.

THINaddictives are a light, delicious treat that are perfect for enjoying as a healthier snacking option or a mid-day indulgence. I tried three amazing flavors and wanted to keep them all to myself, but I did end up sharing.

Take a deep breath, hold it for a few seconds and breathe out

I prefer meditation style breathing which is in through your nose and out through your mouth. I do try to meditate a few times each week so once I start this type of breathing, my body tends to instantly react.

Find Nonni's THINaddictives Near You
