Ok here’s a tip for using baking soda for your hair (shampoo) – mix a cup of warm water with 2 tbls. of baking soda and pour it in your hair as you would shampoo… pour and scrub, pour and scrub. Then rinse. It’s AWESOME! Sometime you have to play with the amt. of baking soda. Maybe use a little less or a little more depending on what kind of hair you have (dry, greasy, etc.)

  114. One tip that I have is for hairbrushes. To make your hairbrushes last longer and be more sanitary make sure to clean them about once a month with an arm & hammer solution. Add 1tsp of Arm & Hammer to a small bowl of water and then allow brushes to soak. After soaking rinse under water and allow to air dry. Removes all the residue left behind from shampoo, conditioner, and styling products.

    Aside from cleaning up pet puke, as mentioned in my last comment (it really works, though), one of the coolest uses I think is relieving burns! I burned my thumb SO bad cutting jalapenos – it was underneath my nail, even, and I could NOT get rid of it. Tried everything, like soaking it in olive oil, lemon, etc…finally read that a baking soda paste might help, and BAM! It worked immediately.
