Speechless Sundays – Silent Screams
My son and his BFF decided to silently scream. Not sure why…
She has been begging for over a year to take classes. She dances and twirls around the house constantly. Her favorite phrase is, “Me a ballerina!” (she is only four)
I finally signed her up and she started classes last weekend. She could not contain her excitement when we shopped for the shoes. She slept with them the first night. She likes to look at them every day.
She smiled the entire class and paid very close attention to the teacher but made certain that I was watching her the entire time.
This was a big day. For all of us.
My little ballerina.

I still remember my first ballet shoes. Princess slippers, I would call them. They gave me super powers (so I thought) and I’m sure Laurel is feeling exactly that now! Great photos!
She looks so cute. I remember taking my oldest to get her ballet shoes…it was so much fun! Now we’ve got to get #2 to them.
She is a doll!! Love the pink shoes.
She looks so excited
What a fun and cute milestone. That smile at the top says everything.
She is adorable! I am so jealous right now too! lol
The shoes are too cute. I have been wanting to sign up my daughter for a while now. But we are down to one vehicle and it’s a ride to town. Hopefully soon though.
Awwww, it’s SO cute to see her excitement. Love it!
How sweet is that!! My daughter never took classes but she had a pair of ballet slippers and several tutus and would twirl about the house, what fun!
I can remember when my oldest was in ballet. She was just like your daughter, all excited about her new shoes, outfit, and such for her lessons. She’s a doll! 🙂
What a cutie with her own sense of style!
lol…the first picture reminds me of Harry Potter’s Ollivanders Wand Shop…
Ollivander: “Curious…very curious…”
Laurel: “Sorry, but what’s curious?”
Ollivander: “I remember every single pair of ballet shoes I’ve ever sold, Ms. Connerty. It so happens that the phoenix whose tail feather is in your ballet shoes, gave another feather — just one other. It is very curious indeed that you should be destined for these ballet shoes when its brother gave you that scar (for those that don’t know…Laurel is a Tetralogy of Fallot survivor that underwent open heart surgery at the ripe age of 5 months…she has a scar..pretty small…as a reminder of that ordeal) .”
