Amwell Telehealth
Amwell Telehealth As a busy mother of three children, I understand that being sick can be extremely inconvenient. It takes away valuable time that could be spent on work or other important tasks. I...
I am not as up to date on immunizations as I would like to be. I mean I know that I need vaccines and a flu shot on a regular basis but with three kids in school and a host of activities, there is always something going on. I have to make the time to take care of my health.
I just went and got my yearly flu shot from Walgreens. Keeping immunizations up to date is crucial for me because we are always on the go plus as a travel writer, I travel all over the place and updated immunizations means that I am less likely to get sick or catch something.
It is so easy to get immunizations at Walgreens. I just walked right in and was in my car 20 minutes later. I especially love that for every immunization that someone gets at Walgreens, a vaccine will be given to someone in need. This is called A Shot at Life.
Walgreens has partnered with the United Nations Foundation’s Shot at Life campaign. Until October 14, 2013 for every person who receives a flu shot or any immunization at Walgreens, they’ll help supply a life saving vaccine to a child in a developing country. The message behind the campaign is ‘Get A Shot. Give A Shot' Together, this partnership will provide up to three million vaccines for life threatening diseases like measles and polio.
I am giving my children a shot at Happiness and Eternal Optimism by living positively. What are you giving a child a shot at?
