Treat Dad to Breakfast This Father’s Day

What’s the best way to make Dad feel loved on Father’s Day? Breakfast in bed, of course! A special celebration during the most important meal of the day is a great way to tell the most important guy in the world thank you.

To help in the celebration, the National Peanut Board has cooked up some fun and easy ways for the whole family to make Father’s Day morning a special occasion this year.

Don’t break the bank. When choosing décor, keep it simple or consider creating your own. Before heading to the grocery store, check the pantry for items that will bring flavor and nutrition. Adding peanut butter to Dad’s favorite breakfast dishes is not only budget-friendly, but with more protein than any other nut, it really delivers a nutritional bang for your buck. Include your little ones. Children enjoy getting involved more than simply watching an activity. Encourage them to add their own creative ideas for the meal and activities of the morning. Make it a tradition. Hosting a Father’s Day breakfast annually will create long-lasting memories that the entire family can cherish and pass on to the next generation.

To help get families started on menu planning, the National Peanut Board offers up four easy and delicious recipes at www.PB4Breakfast.com. Fans can also vote for their favorite recipe and America’s peanut farmers will donate $5 (up to $10,000) to non-profits that provide breakfast to the needy.

Not only can you help those in need with a click, you can enter below for a chance to win peanut butter, a mug, spatula and a $50 Visa gift card by telling us how you like peanut butter for breakfast. I will select and announce a winner on June 28, 2012.

Bonus points for extra entries: Like us on Facebook (www.Facebook.com/PeanutButterFanatic) or follow on Twitter (www.Twitter.com/PeanutRD). – Five entries for each.

The National Peanut Board provided me with a gift card to promote their Peanut Butter for Breakfast campaign, but the thoughts shared in this post is my own. The National Peanut Board is providing the product giveaway and gift card.
