Did you know that fluency in handwriting is a fundamental part of learning? A child thinks and writes at the same time. When we teach the children to write, they also learn to express themselves. I definitely expressed myself through handwriting growing up.
My girls love learning cursive and they practice a lot. They are always writing me notes and cards to share. I love this! They also draw pictures to go along with their creative writing.
My son is not so interested in handwriting. In fact, it was just a few weeks ago that I asked my son to sign something with his signature and he had no clue what I was talking about. I was stunned. My kid couldn't even sign something.

I love leaving handwritten notes for my husband in his lunch bag. It’s one of my favorite way to show my love. I think there are few things as wonderful as getting a handwritten note from someone, and all of those things would be lost without the ability to hand write them!
