Strawberries are one of those fruits that are versatile because they work so well in sweet and savory recipes. A salad with strawberries is one of my favorite things ever. Add strawberry into that salad dressing and it will most likely become my new fave. This Strawberry crumble recipe is packed full of flavor and is a new favorite in this house. Ingredients
- 1 piece of thawed puff pastry that will fit your favorite tart pan, we used a long pan that was about 12 inches by 3.5 inches.
- 3-4 cups fresh strawberries that are washed and dried (you could optionally mix the cut berries with 2 tablespoons of flour to help absorb some of the liquid, we typically skip this step and just let it sit a little longer before eating so the liquid thickens on its own).
- Crumble topping, makes a larger amount than you may need for the actual strawberry tart but who doesn’t love extra crumble?!
- ½ cup (1 stick) soft unsalted butter
- 2/3 cup flour
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup oats

Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- Use a fork or pastry tool to combine the crumble topping ingredients, and mix until you have even clumps and clusters of the crumble. Transfer to a baking sheet and cook for about 15 to 17 minutes or until the pieces are golden brown but still soft.
- While that is baking press pastry dough into the tart pan and fill with the cut strawberries. Bake this for about 20 minutes or until you can see that the layers of puff pastry have baked through and are golden brown.
- You could bake the entire tart with the crumble on top but the weight might be too much for the pastry, not allowing it to bake through under the berries.
- Allow to cool for 15 to 20 minutes before cutting and serving.
