His Entire Life is a Messiest Moment
So I have recently partnered with Clorox to share with you guys some of my life's messiest moments as part of their Bleach It Away campaign. I am also pretty sure it is because they have...
This is a sponsored post with Goodwill.
We are still in full spring cleaning mode in my house. Slowly but surely getting rid of things that we don't need and continuing to make the house sparkle, all while wearing my ruffled rubber gloves.
Because it's spring, I am going to assume you are also knee deep in cleaning too. Which means there is no better time than now to tell you about why you should donate to Goodwill!
Did you know that donations of clothing or household goods to Goodwill help create jobs directly in your community? What you may not use anymore may be perfect for someone else! If we have perfectly good items that can be loved by someone else, why not help our community at the same time? In fact, those items get a second act in another person’s life. That’s spring cleaning with a purpose!
If you are not sure where your local Goodwill is, you can use the Goodwill Locator App available for Android and iOS devices and at http://www.goodwill.org/ (click “Explore Our Map” on the homepage). Simply input the items you’re donating to calculate the number of hours of career counseling, on-the-job training, résumé preparation, financial planning classes, and other services you’ve helped provide people facing challenges finding employment. You will be surprised how quickly what you donate turns into hours of training. Just our hallway closet had over 2 hours of stuff we didn't use hidden away in it.a
Last year, nearly 2 million people engaged in face-to-face Goodwill services to advance in their careers. More than 35 million people accessed education, training, mentoring and online learning tools offered by Goodwill virtually to strengthen their skills and gain industry-recognized credentials.

I used to shop at Goodwill all the time. Now I notice I have too much “stuff,” and need to bring boxes to them. Good idea! Forget We know the saying “if you haven’t worn it in a year,” for me, it is “if you haven’t worn it in 10 years!!,” I have that much I haven’t worn in that long, and things I haven’t used.
We donate to our local Goodwill whenever we need to cull some of our excess stuff. We also give our old clothes to Goodwill whenever we update our wardrobe.
Not only do I love to donate to Goodwill, I love shopping there too. We get such fantastic bargains there! I do love that they help those in our communities through the profits they make when we donate and purchase at their stores.
I am all about giving back to the community. I am constantly donating used, good condition stuff to help others.
I just donated several bags of old clothes to Goodwill. They were in great condition so I’m hoping they found a good home.
We use Goodwill, as we are lucky enough to have one relatively close to where we live.
We like cleaning out wardrobes and other sundries, and try our best to keep in mind that they always could be of use to someone.
This is such a great way to give back to your community. I love that the app can tell you what your local Goodwill needs, which can help me decide what closet or area of my house to clean out first.
I’ve been purging and giving boxes full to Goodwill.
We love donating our extras to charity. Helping those less fortunate than us is worth the extra work.
Goodwill is such an amazing store! We love their low prices and donating when we can.
It’s definitely worth taking time to bag things up. Goodwill helps a lot of people by offering such low prices.
We just recently started donating some things to Goodwill. We have taken a ton of stuff to them. We plan on taking more as soon as we find the time to go through it. I like donating to Goodwill. It makes me feel as though I have done something worthwhile.
We donate a lot, doesn’t seem like I buy much but for some reason we always seem to end up with things to donate so it has to come from somewhere lol.
We donate to Goodwill. My boys grow so fast that they are always in need of new clothes. We’ve donated clothes, books, toys, small appliances too. It makes me happy to be part of a campaign that helps other people live better lives.
Donating to Goodwill is our seasonal family activity. There are stuff around the house that we no longer use or need and it is a fact that there are others who badly need it. It just feels so good inside that we have done something to help others. I wish more people would do the same. Just a little effort may change the world.
I love Goodwill, there is one semi close to me. I love shopping there in the spring because there are a lot of new things added to their stock because of people spring cleaning.
It would be truly amazing to be able to help out especially when it comes to helping people improve their quality of life. It doesn’t even require you to give much effort.
It would be so nice to be able to donate and help people especially when it comes to getting jobs and being able to survive everyday. It’s amazing how many people were got help last year!
We don’t have Goodwill over here but we do have a whole host of charity shops and I do try and give as much as possible to them where I can.
I drop off clothing regularly to the Goodwill. I never thought about how I am indirectly helping people in my community find work. I love that.
YES! THIS! I am so happy to know others are doing this too! We are always taking things to our local Goodwill.
I donate to Goodwill often. I also love to shop there! I’ve even seen my stuff I’ve donated in the store LOL!
We are actually working on a box right now. We usually donate to them at least twice a year as we clean out the closets.
I donate to Goodwill all the time. I like to cut down on clutter and not let it accumulate. I always have a big box in the basement to put things in, and when it is full, I take it to Goodwill.
It’s so nice of Goodwill to launch a donation drive like this. I wish there were something like this here in my area.

It is true that Goodwill create jobs but I wish they would offer a decent pay and benefits for employees. The Goodwill here in our area barely pay the minimum wage.
Goodwill does so much amazing work in the community. I always keep a box around to drop stuff into when the kids outgrow them. Then I just drop it off to Goodwill when it is full.
I love the programs that GoodWill offers for people who need help finding a job. They typically help people who have a disability and need help negotiating the job restrictions. Anytime that I can give away stuff, Goodwill is at the top of my list. I also like to shop there too.
Goodwill is such an awesome organization. We love donating items to Goodwill.
This is a great reminder to purge and share. I’ve got a load ready to roll out on my next shopping trip. I plan to drop it off art our local goodwill.
I shop at the Goodwill all of the time, so many workout clothes there! I’ve gotten purses, kids clothes with tags on them. SO crazy.. I need to do a roundup for donation soon too
My wife and I definitely need to paw through stuff in our house to donate to Goodwill. Will make donating feel fulfilling, knowing someone could use something we donated
We donate to, and shop at Goodwill often. Love it.
I love Goodwill! We donate to them frequently and I love going into their stores. You can always find unique stuff that you can’t find anywhere else. It’s like the best of yard sales without driving all over town.
It’s so important to donate items that are no longer needed and that can be given a second life to those in need. Thanks for the reminder!
We are doing a big cleanup this weekend. I am planning on taking everything to the Goodwill. It is a great way to give back. My kids have outgrown a bunch of their clothes over the winter.
It’s nice to give back to the community. Thanks to Goodwill for doing this. Thank you for sharing this.
Goodwill does a lot of good. There are a few out by us. We shop there as to find rare finds but also support the community.
I donate so many things to GoodWill and will be making a GoodWill drop a the end of this month as well. I’m glad the things I don’t want or need anymore go to help others.
This is really a great way to help others in need. We’ve been donating stuff we don’t need to Goodwill. I love that the kids enjoy it too. I hope they continue to do this even when they grow up.
We donate stuff that we no longer use or need to Goodwill…only to Goodwill. And after cleaning the closets last week, we have more to donate.
Goodwill is a great organization. We have donated to them in the past. We have also gone shopping there too. A great place to find older furniture and things you may want.
I love donating to Good Will and it makes me happy to know that what I donate is put to good use!
A great way to recycle products so no only to they get reused but generate funding for important projects in the community through the thrift store sales. I’ve both bought things from and donated things to Goodwill. They are a standup organization!
I super cleaned my house all day today and I feel so good my house is sparkly clean and smelling so good! 🙂 And I love shopping at Goodwill. I haven’t been to one on a while, I need to go again!
Goodwill is seriously one of the easiest ways to give back! I try to donate as much as I can.
It is totally time to clean our my closets. This house is full of gently loved stuff that really could be better off with someone who needs it rather than gathering dust. You’ve inspired me to get it done!
