Princess Fairytale Hall Now Open at Walt Disney World

What is one of the top things on the list of every little girl who visits Walt Disney World? Meeting her favorite Disney princess, of course! As part of the massive New Fantasyland expansion of the Magic Kingdom, Cinderella Castle has gotten a beautiful new addition, Princess Fairytale Hall.

This regal addition has vaulted ceilings, brightly colored tapestries, elaborate chandeliers, patterned wallpapers, stone walls, richly woven carpets, urns overflowing with flowers, lush draperies, and all the other decor that is befitting of royalty.

And there’s one feature especially that parents of princess-loving girls everywhere will appreciate: Air conditioning in the queue!

Upon arriving at Princess Fairytale Hall, guests are given a choice of princesses that are there for the day to greet guests and are then directed to one of two lines that will lead to a meet and greet with that princess.

Inside, the walls are adorned with the portraits of Cinderella’s princess friends who join her at Princess Fairytale Hall: Jasmine, Mulan, Snow White, Aurora, Tiana and Rapunzel. You will find Belle and Ariel in their own venues at New Fantasyland.

Here’s a cute video of Cinderella’s first visit to Princess Fairytale Hall, starring Disney Imagineers.

The Imagineers did find a very special place for that glass slipper. It is the centerpiece of the whole room where you wait at Princess Fairytale Hall.

Once it is your family’s turn, you will be ushered into a chamber to greet the princesses. During the preview I visited, Rapunzel was joined by Snow White in our room. The princesses were very gracious, as usual. Rapunzel and Snow took plenty of time with their visitors, signing autographs, giving hugs to the little ones, and posing for pictures.

Disney PhotoPass photographers are available to capture the moment, and you are allowed to take your own pictures, as well.

Princess Fairytale Hall opens at Walt Disney World on Sept. 18. It is free with your admission to the Magic Kingdom.
