Recently we were sent the Panda backpack from EcoGear. This is part of the EcoZoo Series:
“The Ecozoo series is unexpected fun in a bag. Form and function come perfectly together with these kid friendly backpacks that are part pet, part toy, and a whole lot of fun for children. Available in fun animal shapes like pandas and pigs, these are the most charming creatures to ever appear in bag form.”
I took it out of the box and looked it over. Right away I noticed the quality construction. It is made from organically-grown cotton canvas. I especially loved that non-toxic dyes were used and the wood accents (toggle closure) are made from sustainable wood. The plastic components are made from recycled plastic. Doesn't get much greener than that!
Of course, my child didn't care about any of that. She loved her new, cute Panda backpack. She carried it around for days and is still carrying it months later. She was so excited to bring it to the first day of Pre-K. She showed everyone. She can even hide stuff in the pocket inside. I really like the padded straps.
By then the backpack was a few months old and it had been washed twice. It held up very well after two washings and still looks brand new. This was a big hit in our house and if you are in the market for a kid's backpack, consider the EcoZoo Series from EcoGear. Available in Panda, Pig, Elephant and Puppy.
