  1. First be sure the salts fill the jar up. They will get more compacted once you mix it all, so if you are not using an 8 oz. jar, then the best thing to do is to fill up the actual jar with the salts and be sure it comes almost all the way up. Then, add it to your measuring cup or mixing bowl and see how much you have, to figure out how much more oil you will need.
  2. Then, open up your tea bags, or measure out the loose tea leaves and mix into the salts. They tend to want to stay on the top so it take some work getting them mixed in well. Don’t worry though, once you add the oils they disperse better too.
  3. Now go ahead and add in your sweet almond oil, and get it thoroughly mixed. If it seems dry at all in any areas once you really mix, and scrape the bowl, you may want to add a little more. The mixture shouldn’t be drippy wet, it should just all be damp and have some oil on it.
  4. Now, add in the essential oils. Stir really well to be sure they are through it all, and then go ahead and transfer the mixture to your jar.
  5. If you feel it is not a strong enough scent, you can always add a few more drops of either or both oils, but once they sit in the jar with the lid on, it really will soak into the salts even better.
  6. Now, make a label or add some twine if desired, and otherwise you are done!
  7. To use: Take about 2 fingers full of the scrub and rub on your hands, bottoms of feet; especially heels, elbows, knees or any other area where your skin may be dry or rough. Rub in well until the salt starts to dissolve. The best place to do this is in the tub or shower, on wet skin. Then just rinse!
