Last month the Love Drop Team raised over $2,500 and boxes after boxes of goods and items to help Jill and her family get through a hard time in their lives (homelessness & financial worries). We did this in 1 month. All 400+ people came together and gave a few bucks each to impact one family's life. If you participated in this, THANK YOU. The final presentation can be seen here. This month we start all over again and circle around 2 beautiful kids with severe autism — Ethan & Alex. Our goal is to raise $13,000 so we can get them a highly trained service dog. And if possible, two iPads so they can speak again (they can't even say “I love you” to their mom — these iPads allow them to get their voice back).

man…what a tear jerker. I watched their actual Love Drop and could not even contain my own excitement hearing they had made the goal. For some reason the video stopped at 11:15 so didnt get to watch the last 3 minutes. It’s so easy for us to feel like we cant make a difference to others but look at how everyone pulled together for this to happen…not just the money but the time, the donations of Ipads to all 3 (how amazing to think of their daughter too), and the well wishes from the schools. Was even more amazing for me to know this was just an hour away. that’s pretty cool. what a beautiful, gracious and deserving family!
We have been plagued by illness and financial loss with job cuts, but heck…most can give a dollar and THAT can so add up to thousands of people just giving a dollar? What a concept!
It is amazing how easy it is to give- and how quickly small things add up.
Being on twitter, so many times it is just a tweet every day….. there are so many ‘contesters’ that could take the time to tweet the dollars could rack up quickly- or for that matter if there is a cause wanting a ‘like’ on facebook (the uterine cancer not long ago) that raised awareness and gave a dollar- so many didnt tweet to get the word out after their own entry 🙁
