Starting tomorrow and then a few more times throughout the year, Best Buy's Camera Experience Shop will be holding photography workshop tours in various cities around the United States. Best Buy’s Camera Experience Shop
If you haven't been to Best Buy lately (seriously why haven't you?), then you might not have seen their Camera Experience Shop. This is like visiting a specialty camera store right in the middle of your local Best Buy store. At each shop, you'll find an expanded assortment of cameras, lenses & accessories not necessarily available in other locations. What I especially love is that these hands on shops allow you to try out and test the cameras right in the store.
I have been to Best Buy's Camera Experience Shop several times and their expert help has guided me into several of my last camera and camera accessory purchases. These Camera Experience Shop Experts are not only serious photo enthusiasts, they have also gone through extensive photography training. In fact, the first time I met with one of their instore experts, I stayed there an hour as he patiently answered all of my questions and helped me decide what components I really needed.
Free In-Store Beginners Photography Workshops
If you are a beginner interested in improving your photography skills but aren't quite sure where to start, consider starting with a free in-store photography workshop right at your local Best Buy. While you might not feel quite ready for a tour, these two hour long sessions cover photography basics plus give you some one-on-one interaction with a Best Buy Camera Experience Shop Expert. They will walk you through your camera's settings and once you're done, you can take the next step and sign up for upcoming Photography Workshop Tours (more details below) to be held on 10.20.18 and 1.19.19. Simply sign-up to be notified when these go live for registration this fall and winter. Find Free In-Store Photography Workshops near you.
NEW Best Buy Photography Workshop Tours for Intermediates
On 7.28.2018, Intermediate camera users can sign up for the NEW Best Buy Photography Workshop Tours being held in Seattle, San Diego, Houston, Atlanta, Tampa, New York City and Minneapolis. Each person will learn to think like a camera pro and walk away with some of their best photos yet.

I think, when getting a new camera, it can be a little intimidating; however, they’re beneficial for a professional blog. Workshops like this will help eliminate the intimidation and get the ball rolling on quality photos for your blog.
I definitely need to improve upon my photography skills, so I would be all for attending the workshops. That’s awesome that Best Buy is offering them several times a year!
This is such a good thing for Best Buy to do. I have a Nikon and while I think I shoot really good photos, I do always keep it on the auto setting. I would love to learn how to do more than that.
As a photographer, I’m glad to see Best Buy taking the steps to not only just sell equipment, but also teach people how to use it. It’s so frustrating to know people buy expensive equipment and not know how to use it. Thank you Best Buy!
