Don't Bite Me! Patch Review
Bugs are horrible at this time of year. Pretty much any time of year for us because the back of our house is all woods. There is even a creek. Neighbors on both sides of our house have ponds. There are tons of bugs.
I seem to buy an enormous amount of Off every year for our entire family. It is expensive and I hate REALLY hate spraying my kids with all of that STUFF. We also have candles, those smoke thingies that go into the planter and too many other things to fight off those pesky bugs.
I was excited to be able to try out the Don't Bite Me! Patch. If there is something else that will work well on my children, then I am definitely willing to try it.
MomFuse hooked me up with the makers of Don't Bite Me! Patch. They sent me several to try out. Before I use something like this, I have to know what's in it. How it works.
So I went online and did a little research. On their website, they explain exactly How it Works. This really gave me a lot of peace of mind before putting in on my kids. In fact, after reading, I was more than willing to give it a try.
The Don't Bite Me! Patch uses a patent pending technology and formula to deliver natural ingredients into the body via a topical patch application. Only two ingredients are in the patch, Vitamin B1 and Aloe.
Simply apply one patch two hours prior to enjoying time outdoors(it takes that long to become effective). The Vitamin B1 then travels head to toe. Then the body's natural response to excess Vitamin B1 is to excrete it through the pores, covering up the carbon dioxide that we emit naturally. (Carbon dioxide is what attracts insects.) This process makes an invisible barrier around the body, making the user unattractive to insects.
The Aloe serves as an anti-inflammatory agent, minimizing the reaction in the event you do experience a bite. The topical patch application is what makes the formula so effective. Taking Vitamin B1 in mega doses does not deliver the same effect as our patch because the stomach digests the Vitamin B1 prior to it entering the bloodstream, therefore losing efficiency. The topical patch provides a much more effective, consistent release of Vitamin B1 into the body, which is why it works so well.
The Don't Bite Me! Patch works wonderfully. My children forgot that they had them on and you know what? Not one bug bite. NOT ONE! This is a tremendous feat for the members of our household. And I think that we owe it all to the Don't Bite Me! Patch.
