Balsamic Steak Marinade

Balsamic Steak Marinade

I love steak. No really, you don’t understand…I L-O-V-E it. Almost as much as my husband, but I rarely eat steak unless it is amazing; I have been trying to cut back on red meats. He would eat steak daily if he thought he could get away with it. When I go out of town, I am pretty sure that he does just that. So to cut back yet still feel satisfied,  I have tried to find some ways to use smaller amounts of meat without scaling back flavor so this marinade for steak balsamic vinegar works well. I love the sweet and slightly tart flavor of Balsamic Vinegar in this steak roll-up recipe and this balsamic vinegar steak marinade is really good. We hope that this Balsamic Steak Marinade recipe post inspires you.

Balsamic Steak Marinade

Balsamic Vinegar Steak Marinade

These Orange Balsamic Glazed Steak Rolls look great and they look difficult to make. But the truth is they are really easy to prepare, and they taste wonderful. My kids love them and my husband both love them.

Ingredients

Balsamic Steak Marinade

Directions

  1. Begin by shaking a generous amount of kosher salt onto both sides of sirloin steak. Add freshly ground pepper to taste. Set aside.
  2. Dice your shallot and sauté in 1 tbsp. olive oil, whisk in balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, and beef stock.
  3. Bring sauce to a boil, allow the sauce to thicken, and reduce for approximately 10-20 minutes. It is ready when it begins to resemble syrup.
  4. Pour into a bowl, pierce steaks with a fork, add to marinade, and refrigerate for one hour.
  5. Chop your veggies into long matchsticks ( you will want them slightly longer than the width of sirloin steak).
  6. Add a little more olive oil to the pan, and sauté veggies, and diced garlic over medium heat just until they start to become tender.
  7. Lay steaks out flat, stack veggies on one end (I use about 2-3 sticks of each type of vegetable) roll tightly. Season with steak seasoning.
  8. Drizzle a little more olive oil in the pan, place steak rolls seam side down into the pan heated to medium-high heat. Roll so all four sides cook to your preferred temp.
  9. Pour glaze over steak rolls, and remove from pan.
  10. After you have placed steak rolls on the plate, drizzle additional balsamic glaze over the top.
  11. Serve and Enjoy.
