You might know that Alabama is the state right next to where I live. Here in Georgia, our neighboring state of Alabama is just a short drive away. My husband and are both foodies and we love taking fun weekend trips so we plan to check out Alabama next weekend for a nice getaway.
Here are 5 reasons to visit Alabama today.

The Alabama Tourism Department has declared 2015 as “The Year of Alabama BBQ“. In light of the popularity of BBQ and Alabama's reputation, they're declaring that the BBQ in their state is not only among the best in the US, but is THE best.
