2019 Lexus UX 200 First Look
Subcompact luxury SUVs are a hot commodity among car shoppers and millennials. I love them! They have become a sensation in the automobile industry. Lexus has a version known as the UX 200. The UX stands for Urban Crossover. Its competition would be the Audi Q3, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Volvo XC40, and Cadillac XT4 among others. We hope that this 2019 Lexus UX 200 review post inspires you.
2019 Lexus UX 200 Review
This new Lexus is built on the same platform that underpins the Toyota CHR and also shares the CHR’s 103.9-inch wheelbase. However, the new crossover comes with the attributes that distinguish it from others in its class. It is lower, wider, and nearly 6 inches longer than the Toyota. The new traits play a big role in offering more interior space. We hope that you enjoy this 2019 Lexus UX 200 First Look.
Interior
The new Lexus UX 2019 features a luxurious ride and a quiet cabin on highways which is so important to me. After extensive highway driving of this car, I was thrilled at the lack of noise in the cabin. The UX handles corners very well, which instills a great deal of confidence in the driver. The 2.0 safety system is standard across the board. There is a host of driver-assist technologies that include full-speed dynamic cruise control, pre-collision warning with automatic braking, forward pedestrian protection, intelligent high beams, road sign detection, and lane departure warning featuring steering assist. Honestly, after driving the UX, I cannot imagine not having any of these great features.
There is more than ample headroom for the driver in the front seats of the new Lexus. The rear seating area is on the smaller side but still comfortable. It also has headroom clearance for average-sized adults. There is a center seat in the rear for a third passenger. The fold-down center armrest also features cup holders for rear passengers which is a nice convenience. The rear seating area has two temperature vents and two USB ports. There are 21.7 cubic feet of storage space in the cargo area of the Lexus UX. The rear seats flip forward for extra room. The analog clock up front goes along with rollers and buttons to control the volume on the audio system. The center console is accessible from the driver and passenger side of the apparatus.
Exterior
Power-train options on the new crossover are designed to make sure the vehicle provides a satisfying driving experience. They come in two choices, which are a 2 Liter 4 cylinder engine teamed with a continuously variable transmission. The 2019 UX gets a reported 29 miles per gallon in the city and 37 on the highway. The second engine option is an all-wheel drive hybrid powertrain. This engine is found in the UX 250 Hybrid. The four-cylinder engine is teamed with a pair of electric motor generators. A third motor is dedicated to powering the rear wheels, which gives the car all-wheel drive traction. The nickel metal battery is hidden beneath the rear seats. The car has electric torque and 181 total horsepower.
Features & Trim
The Lexus UX 2019 comes in a variety of trims that will affect the overall package of the vehicle. The base version brings 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, and Apple Carplay. There are three drive modes available to customize the overall experience for riders. The 7-inch infotainment display compliments the dash and is user-friendly. The dash screen is controlled by the Remote Touch Interface. This feature is sensitive to touching, and swiping and also recognizes handwriting. Other premium features are offered such as the foot-activated rear hatch door to go along with heated and ventilated front seats.
The UX Sports Package comes with several different features. These are provided to give the car a sporty look and feel. There are simple adjustments to the automobile suspension, which has an impact on its responsiveness and driving abilities. It comes with new wheels and several different tweaks on its interior. There are also anti-roll bars and shock absorbers. The steering and throttle have been adjusted for a more aggressive driving experience.
What does it cost?
The Lexus UX 2019 subcompact crossover is the most affordable Lexus model available. Pricing is as follows:
Standard Non-Hybrid Lexus UX 200 starts at $33,025
Hybrid Lexus UX 250h starts at $35,025
Different purchase and lease options are available for the UX including a subscription package. This gives drivers the ability to subscribe to the Lexus through the complete lease plan. It is a two-year deal that covers all of the lease, insurance, and maintenance costs in one contract.

2019 Lexus UX 200 Review
I found the car to drive easily and it was extremely sporty. The red captured me from the moment I first saw it although I am digging that royal blue color as well. The drive on the highway versus the drive in the city was about the same. I could see myself driving this car. I am low-key shopping for my next car in that I need to figure out what I need in a car and the Lexus UX seems pretty much perfect for running errands in the city which is primarily what I do. We hope that you enjoyed this 2019 Lexus UX 200 First Look.

What a gorgeous vehicle. I am loving the blue model. I like that the rear has 2 USB ports. That comes in handy when someone in the back needs to charge their electronics.
What a handsome looking car! It has that much-needed space even if it looks compact on the outside. Nice comfy seats too! I am sure my son would be saving up for this. He is on the lookout for a new vehicle.
SUVs certainly are hot these days, I too am a big fan. I have been telling the other half how much I like the Lexus at the minute but it seems to be falling on deaf ears lol
Great review; I absolutely loved our Lexus! Unfortunately, we needed a larger car to haul three kids but I can’t wait to go back to one when we down size!

I love the Interior of Lexus, not the exterior because they have copied it from Honda Vezel Cars.
