  • 2 eggs

Pumpkin Pie Scones with Glaze RecipeDirections

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, pumpkin puree, and salt in a bowl. Mix in the butter, blending it well with the flour.
  2. Combine the pumpkin puree, heavy cream, and eggs in a separate bowl. Mix well to combine, then pour into the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix the dry and wet ingredients just to combine them. Do not overwork the dough.
  4. Split the dough into two equal parts. Shape each half into a loose ball, then gently press down on each to form two, flattened, thick circles. Cut each circle into quarters.
  5. Combine the egg wash ingredients and whisk vigorously to combine. Lightly brush over each circle of scone dough.
  6. Bake the scones at 400°F for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the thickest part comes out clean. Remove to cool.
  7. To make the glaze, combine the powdered sugar with the milk and mix well. Add more milk as needed, until a thick glaze forms.
  8. After the scones have cooled, drizzle the glaze over top before serving.

These sound so good! I make scones or biscuits and every week and almost always add a glaze, I never made any with pumpkin I want to try!
