Wendy’s Berry Almond Chicken Salad

Today, several bloggers and our families met at a local area Wendy's in Atlanta, Georgia to try out their new Berry Almond Chicken Salad.

In fact, you might have seen tweets as bloggers around the country met to try the salads as well. The Tweets were flying on Twitter with the hashtag #berrytasty as well tried out the new salad.

We brought our husbands, our kids and all met up to just hang out for a while. We had a great time and everyone seemed to enjoy the salads!

ABOUT THE WENDY'S BERRY ALMOND CHICKEN SALAD

Wendy’s new Berry Almond Chicken Salad features fresh, tangy, plump blueberries; fresh California strawberries sliced in-store daily; California almost roasted with sea salt; shaved Asiago cheese; and a warm grilled chicken breast on a bed of 11 types of freshly chopped field greens. Topping it off is delicious yet fat-free raspberry vinaigrette dressing, including the nutrient-rich juice of the acai berry.

I really enjoyed the salad. A lot. It was filling. It was tasty and reasonably priced. The dressing was really wonderful. The strawberries tasted amazing and really reminded me that Summer is almost here.

What made me feel even better about the salad was when I got home and did a little research about the ingredients of the salad.

NUTRITIONAL BENEFITS OF THE WENDY'S BERRY ALMOND CHICKEN SALAD

A full‐sized Berry Almond Chicken Salad boasts a complete, one‐cup serving of fruit. The salad's ripe strawberries and blueberries pack a powerful punch, as both are an excellent source of vitamin C. The flavorful berries are rich in antioxidants, which research suggests promote health and prevent disease. Berries also provide anthocyanins, which are unique antioxidants that give them their red and blue hues. The almonds supply vitamin E and the Asiago cheese is a good source of calcium.

It was really fun to hang out with all of the Atlanta bloggers and their families. The kids had a wonderful time. My kids love meeting up with other kids. Although we kind of took over the entire Wendy's location, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating.
