Hairstyles for Black Girls with Natural Hair
Hairstyles for black girls are not always easy to achieve. In addition, one may even have some emotional wounds from their hair that need to be nurtured. But with the right products and techniques,...
I am a huge blush junkie. I have a ton of different brands, shades, and finishes because I just cannot get enough of it. That is why I was so so so excited when it was announced that along with the Gwen Stefani Eye Shadow Palette, Urban Decay would be releasing a Gwen Stefani Blush Palette. I had to pick it up, so of course I did. Now, I'm going to give my complete personal review of this palette and tell you all about it.
This palette's packaging is absolutely gorgeous. It is in the same style as the Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette but different colors. The base color of the palette is white, with gold detailing and the inside color is black. An added great bonus is that the palette has a very nice sized mirror on the inside. I always love when my palettes have a large mirror because it makes applying my makeup a lot of easier. Inside the palette there are 6 shades ranging from fairly light shades to darker ones and all sorts of different tones. Let's go through each color and discuss what you can expect. Check out our Urban Decay Perversion Mascara Review.
This shade ironically enough is not red, which is what you may expect based on the name. It is a nice pink shade with a bit of a shimmer in it. This one is definitely not very shimmery or glittery but does give you a bit of a nice glow.
Easy is another one in the pink family and probably my personal favorite color in the palette. This is a beautiful berry color with shimmer in it. This does have more shimmer in it than the Cherry shade but it's not an overwhelming amount.
This is a really beautiful bronzey shade that does have a lot of shimmer in it as well. I absolutely love this shade as well because it is just different. It's not your typical pink or peach blush, I love this one.
This one is named after a popular instagram filter, Lo-Fi. This is one that is more of a satin-matte finish blush. There isn't a ton of shimmer in this one at all, and it is a beautiful bronze shade as well.
This one is another absolutely gorgeous shade in the palette. It is a shimmering rose-gold color that really gives you a beautiful glow. This is a great blush that can double as a highlighter as well.
Lastly, this color is another really interesting one in my opinion. This is a shade that a very warm, coppery-orange feel to it and I think will look absolutely amazing this Spring and Summer.
All of the shades in this palette are absolutely beautiful and they are all extremely pigmented. If you're new to makeup or not used to really pigmented blushes, please remember that you need to use a very light hand to get a nice flush of color without looking like a clown. Overall I think this is a really amazing blush palette and I would really recommend picking the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette up.
Thanks for the honest review, it does sound very attractive. I’m afraid that I already own too much makeup though 🙁
xoxo
