This Fire Up Summer with Smithfield Craft Collection Yuengling Traditional Lager Bratwurst post is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Smithfield®. The opinions and text are all mine.
It's that time of year. The kids are out of school, the sun is setting late, and the pool beckons. It's summertime, and in our household that means it is grilling season. This is a time of year that we look forward to in our family. We use our grill at least 2-3 times a week during the summer, and we love hosting grill parties with friends and family. Great food and conversation is shared as we all enjoy lazy summer evenings. Memories are made that our children will remember for the rest of their lives. Needless to say, we take grilling seriously. We hope that you enjoy this Fire Up Summer with Smithfield® Craft Collection™ Yuengling® Traditional Lager Bratwurst post.
The star of any evening spent grilling is of course, the food. Now over the course of a summer, we will grill pretty much everything that can be grilled. There will be steak, chicken, and seafood. We will grill our potatoes and vegetables. Heck, we even grill fruit. One item that always seems to make it onto our grill in the summer is bratwurst, and over the past few summers the bratwurst of choice has been the Smithfield Craft Collection Yuengling Traditional Larger Bratwurst. I personally like this bratwurst because it is infused with Yuengling Traditional Lager, and that flavor really comes through. The earthiness of the hops adds a depth and complexity to the brat that is just divine.
Smithfield makes the Craft Collection Yuengling Traditional Lager Bratwurst with premium cuts of pork and their own blend of sweet and savory spices. They taste great, and are easy to grill as well. Simply set up your grill with a medium-low heat and throw them on. They take about 15-20 minutes to cook, and all you have to do is remember to turn them every 4-5 minutes. Pretty simple. They come off the grill super juicy, and we like to serve them in toasted buns with a little peperonata sauce that is infused with Yuengling Traditional Lager. This makes for a pretty simple and easy meal that everyone in the household looks forward to and loves.
Those perfectly grilled Smithfield Craft Collection Yuengling Traditional Larger Bratwurst absolutely beg for the perfect cold beverage. Now to my mind, when you are grilling and eating brats, there is only one possible beverage that is acceptable; beer. And as these bratwurst are actually made with Yuengling Traditional Lager, they pair perfectly with that beer. Yuengling Traditional Lager is the flagship beer of America's oldest brewery. Located in Pottsville, PA, Yuengling has been in uninterrupted operation since 1829. These guys were making beer back when Andrew Jackson was president.
Yuengling Traditional Lager has a rich amber color and it pairs wonderfully with grilled foods. Made with roasted caramel malt and a combination of cluster and cascade hops, this subtly sweet and balanced beer is very easy drinking and the absolute perfect pairing to the Smithfield Craft Collection Yuengling Traditional Lager Bratwurst. Both Smithfield and Yuengling come from towns that are rich with tradition and heritage. With this comes a deep appreciation for quality, flavor and family; making Smithfield and Yuengling a perfect combination.
You can find both the Smithfield Craft Collection Yuengling Traditional Lager Bratwurst and the Yuengling Traditional Lager at your local Kroger. You will find the brats in the meat case and the beer in the beer isle. Don't wait too long though…while the beer is always available, the bratwurst will disappear with grilling season. We hope that this Fire Up Summer with Smithfield Craft Collection Yuengling Traditional Lager Bratwurst post inspires you.
OK now those look like some great bratwurst! I am going to have to try and get hold of both them and the larger I think as my Dad would LOVE it as a Father’s Day treat.
Those brats could not look any more inviting for lovers of barbecue foods. I have to show this to my husband and we have to try the beer which goes with it so well.
These are some great brats! I’m thinking about this for the hubs for Father’s Day, and the Yuengling!
Yep, these are the kinds of things that memories are made up. I miss having a Kroger’s close by.
This is going to be on our Father’s day menu. We are hoping for fine weather so we can fire up the grill! Those brats looks absolutely delicious and to pair them with Yeungling beer is going to promise a great BBQ party!
I wish i could indulge but i cannot. I am pescatarian but I have plenty of meat eaters in my family who would enjoy this at a BBQ.
I think my husband would love those. Unfortunately, we don’t have Kroger around here. Maybe they’ll have them somewhere else?
My husband loves Bratwurst! This would be a great grilling idea for Father’s Day this weekend!
Star of any evening spent grilling is – Food…True that! I usually use grillers for some exotic foods like Bratwurst in winter evenings. Even in summers, my kids love sausage, especially during the summer vacation.
I would love these. I’m a huge fan of brats. We grill a lot during the summer, so I’ll pick these up for sure.
This bratwurst sounds delicious and super flavorful. It could easily serve as the star of any summer barbecue. Yum!
Nothing says summer like brats on a grill. These look delicious! We have yet to really grill anything in our backyard this summer. I think we have to get on it!
These bratwurst look delicious. You make me want to go to the store right this second. I usually put mine in the oven, but now I must grill them. Thanks for the tip!
Wow, I had no idea that Yuengling made bratwurst. These look so good. I can imagine that they taste wonderful.
OMG ! I am so sad right now because I just got put on a low cholesterol diet and I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE!!!
When I get my numbers back under control I am going to have them first thing!
I will always have to watch what I eat carefully but I am allowed some yummy food now and then once I get the numbers down just a little.
I just may have to get some and stick them in the freezer.
That way I don’t miss out on them!
That bratwurst looks so good and tasty and it looks so perfect with the lager drinks. I am sure my dad will definitely love it as my simple Father’s Day gift for him.
Oh that looks really good. I love bratwurst and am always looking for new flavors to try out. This is perfect!
Yum! I love sausage. These look incredible straight up. I usually slice them, pan fry them, and add all kinds of yummy stuff. 🙂
I was just trying to decide on what to grill tonight. This is perfect. And what a great pairing!
It’s grilling season and one of the few that we love to grill is bratwurst. We’ve never tried this one from Smithfield though. But they look so good so we’ll grab some soon.
We rarely have bratwurst in our home but this looks fabulous and like a great summer meal! I just made a recipe with Smithfield Marinated Pork and love how it turned out. What a great brand with quality meat!
These are perfect for the grill. I love these sausages; especially when cooked right!
Summer is the time when holidays are there, kids home, and a general celebration environment all around. Food and Drink of course is in great demand in the house during this period. These are some great suggestions to keep that demand satisfied.
I have recently figured out that I actually do like brats, especially when they are cooked with beer. I am sure these would be delicious.
I always see this brand of sausages. I will have to pick them up next time, they look delicious.
