Servings 12-16 granola bars depending on how big you make them

Ingredients & Supplies for Chex Mix recipe with Chocolate and Powdered Sugar

• ½ cup milk chocolate chips
• ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 2 cups Chex cereal
• 1 ½ cups instant oatmeal
• ½ cup peanut butter
• ¼ cup powdered sugar to sprinkle on top. (you can use more or less)
• granola bar mold

Puppy Chow Directions

1. Combine chocolate chips and peanut butter in a bowl. Melt in the microwave in 30-second increments until melted all the way. Make sure to stir frequently and don’t heat it too long or the chocolate may seize up.
2. After the peanut butter and chocolate are melted, pour in the oatmeal, rice crispy cereal, and vanilla. Stir until combined.
3. Put the granola batter into a granola mold. Be sure to use a spoon to push it down and compact it well. If you don’t compact it, they will fall apart when you attempt to remove them from the pan.
4. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and freeze for 15-20 minutes to set up. Keep them in the fridge until you are ready to eat because the chocolate will melt some if set out too long.
