Their recipe was a slam dunk, and I even snagged a monkey bread pan – it's a game-changer! Now, I whip up monkey bread from scratch whenever the craving hits.

Ingredients for Pumpkin Spice Monkey Bread
- 5 cups flour
- 1 (2 tsp) package active dry yeast
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup warm water
- ¼ cup sugar
- ⅓ cup melted butter
- 1 ¼ cup milk
- pinch of salt

- 1 sweet dough ball (from above)
- 1 tbsp pumpkin spice
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup caramel
- ½ cup butter, melted
Directions
- To make this delicious monkey bread, start by making sweet dough. Dissolve two tablespoons of yeast in warm water. Once the yeast has foamed and completely dissolved, add two of the five cups of flour, eggs, salt, milk, sugar, and melted butter. Mix the dough until a ball forms, then add the remaining three cups of flour one at a time until the dough is nice and stiff. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for six hours.
- Grease a bundt or monkey bread pan. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and turn it out onto a floured surface. Punch the dough two to three times until air pockets are emptied. Pinch off a spoonful at a time and roll the dough into 40-50 small dough balls.
- In a small bowl, melt ½ cup of butter. In a second bowl, mix one cup of sugar and pumpkin spice. Drop the small dough balls into the bowl of butter and then into the pumpkin spice sugar. Add the sugared dough balls into the greased bundt pan until you’ve made it through the entire pile. The bundt pan should be a little more than half filled, which leaves space for the dough to rise.
- Warm up the caramel in the microwave in ten-second increments until it is warm enough to pour over the bread. Only pour half of the caramel into the bundt tray, covering the sugared dough balls.

- Banish that monkey bread to the oven for a 350-degree journey for 35 minutes. Watch in awe as the bread rises majestically, filling every nook and cranny of the tray!
