The NetGear ReadyNAS line of Network Attached Storage devices provides an unparalleled level of accessibility, interoperability, and value for both home and business users. They can consolidate, protect, and provide access to your data from any device, anywhere in the world.
ReadyCloud is NetGear’s web based service which turns your NAS device into your very own cloud based storage solution. With ReadyCloud, configuring your NAS device is as simple as opening a web browser and pressing “Discover”. Once your device is added to your ReadCloud account you can begin accessing your data from any device, on any network.
Sharing all of your pictures, videos, music, and documents has never been easier. Seamlessly access all of your data from your local network, or from a remote location, on any device. This provides you with unmatched interoperability and accessibility across platforms. NetGear’s ReadyBox even allows you to synchronize folders across devices, much like the popular DropBox service, but without the additional fees.
NETGEAR ReadyNAS 102 2-Bay Diskless Network Attached Storage protects your data with robust redundancy and replication features. Standard RAID storage controllers prevent data loss from hard drive failure. Replication options allow you to replicate your data across multiple devices in case of catastrophic failure, or theft. Device backups made to your NAS device insure you against data loss from lost, stolen or broken devices. Never again will you have to fret over your irreplaceable pictures, videos or documents.
Snapshots also provide you with unique data management possibilities. Creating snapshots manually, or at regular intervals, will allow you to access older versions of your data. Whether you need a version of a file from last week, or last month, snapshots provide you with indexed catalog of changes made to each file.
Streaming services make your NAS an indispensible piece of your home entertainment puzzle. Using services such as iTunes server or PLEX allow you to stream movies, music, pictures, internet television and more to any device. Whether you’re home or at the office, all of your media will be at your fingertips.
Expanding the functionality of your device couldn't be easier. There's already more than 75 free apps available to download. Simply click Apps then Available Apps in your NAS administration. Don't see the app you need? Becoming a developer will allow you to create your own custom applications.
No one in the industry has shipped more home NAS devices than NetGear. They have models to fit your needs whether your data is being accessed by 5 or 5000. They offer competitive pricing and true value when it comes to cloud storage technology.
This product is honestly perfect for people like me. As technology gets cheaper, unfortunately so do the many devices that we own. We literally have a technology graveyard and some things still work perfectly well. But we have too much. I donate as much as I can. If I haven't seen something played with recently, it's gone.
This is perfect for me because with all of those tech gadgets, that means I have stuff on everything. I have lost several laptops full of pictures that I had never backed up. It really never occured to me to do that. I know…it's not that smart but believe me I have paid the price. The beautiful thing about the photos we used to print out, last and hang around much longer. The digital ones I tend not to see as often but that doesn't stop me from hoarding them. I have lost a lot of kids pictures and it makes me sad. I won't get to relive those memories so I have to be pretty comfortable with the fact that I lived those memories and that is good enough.
However, I do need to plan going forward because these kids are just too darn cute not to memorialize in pictures. I need the NETGEAR ReadyNAS because I will get into the habit of saving and never lose those valuable pictures again. At the very least, I will ask my husband to do it. No more photo losses!
The NETGEAR ReadyNAS has found its home. We have used it a lot.
NetGear and ReadyCloud sound like something I need. I have been trying to figure out all these clouds. This one sounds easier than most.
I think that is why it most interested me at first, Terry!
Wow, this is super cool! I could certainly use one in my home.
We actually bought a second one, Amy. One for us and one for the kids. When they fill theirs, they will have to make decisions about what to get rid of. It will keep them away from my digital pictures. LOL.
That is awesome! I could totally use this for my blog. Thanks!
That is what I did, Dawn. Everything blog related (including my blog) is backed up on this thing.
We could totally use this in our hourse.
Wow! This would be handy to own! I’m constantly amazed by the development in technology and constantly finding new stuff I need! 🙂
This is awesome. I have some serious storage issues, so I’m all about this.
Awesome! My techie hubby was impressed by this! We’re always looking for new ways to improve our home systems!
I could use one of these for sure! Perfect for my blog too!
Oh this is cool! I’ll have to show this to my husband! I wonder if we would need something like this!
Have you ever watched the Charlie Brown specials? If so they you will know what I’m talking about. When they adults talk, all you hear is “wha wha wha wha”. That’s what I hear whenever technical stuff is the subject. For the life of me, I just can’t wrap my head around it all.
I’ll share this post with my husband:-)
This is a great storage solution. I could certainly use this.
This sounds great. I think I could really use this at my place. It’s for sure handy!
This sounds awesome! This is something I really need for my home!
I like that they’ve got so much experience. That makes it easier to trust them with something as important as files!
I totally need one of these. My hard drive crashed and I lost everything. I am heartbroken over the pictures.
I really need one of these! I could store so much on it!
I really need to look into cloud storage more. I know very little about it, but think it would save me some tears if my computer were to die.
I had no idea such a wonder existed. This is really neat!
As a photographer, storage is a huge issue for me. This would be a fantastic option for storage.
