Goal Setting.
Decision Making.
Money Management.
People Skills.
Business Ethics.
These are skills that I learned as a young Girl Scout growing up. As a leader today (of two troops) that is something I strive for to teach the girls on an ongoing basis.
Girl Scouts is a great place for girls of all ages to learn necessary life skills, build lasting friendships and so much more.
Selling cookies has definitely got to be one of the highlights of our year although there are many other things we do, everyone, Girl Scout or not, gets excited when cookie sales start. People seek my girls out to buy cookies. We also volunteers in booths selling cookies as well.
The money that we earn is spent in various ways. We have made many community donations and have attended some really cool events.

National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend is coming up on February 7th. Girl Scouts all over the USA will be selling cookies at local businesses near you.
You know that when dealing with Girl Scouts, these are girls who have learned about selling, goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.

GS are such a great program and the skills they learn are amazing. I rememner being in Brownies and later GS for awhile and they were good memories. Our scout leader kinda left us in a lurch (she married and moved) and so I didnt keep up with it but always admired those who could lead. I am remembering the date there is a couple of girls who sell cookies and I love buying them!
Nice to know the GS cookies will be available Feb. 7. I like the shortbread and thin mint cookies.
