Blondie's are pretty much my husband's most favorite dessert EVER. He has loved Blondie's as long as I have known him and I suspect for much longer than that. Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts
  • 3/4 pound semisweet chocolate chunks
  • ¾ pound Dark Chocolate Peanut M&M’s
  • 12 caramel squares, cut in half

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Grease and flour an 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish.
  3. Using an electric mixer, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated until light and fluffy. With the mixer on low speed, add the vanilla.
  4. Next add the eggs on at a time, mixing well. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture.
  5. Fold the nuts, M&M’s, caramel, and chocolate chunks in with a spatula.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for approximately one hour.
  7. Let cool for about 20-30 and then cut. Enjoy!
