I recently came across a great list of children's books that I wanted to share but then I started thinking that perhaps I would just share a few with you guys, my readers and perhaps ask you to share a few of your favorites in return.
Reading has always been a part of my life. I learned to read at the age of three and haven't stopped since then. It has always been important to me that my children share this love of reading. This is evident in the over 200 children's book in my house. This is not an exaggeration either!
My children are especially enamored with the Bear books right now by Karma Wilson. Our current favorite is Bear Snores on. I have been to my son and daughters classrooms several times to read several of these books. My husband and I like to take turns with the voices. All three of my children LOVE the Bear books.
Some of my other favorite children's books are those that reinforce good manners and encourage children to do the right thing in given situations. Do you use books to teach your kids good manners? I love to use books as a tool to reinforce the good manners that I try to instill in my children daily.
Share. What are your favorite children's books? How do you teach your children good manners?
I received a gift for my 3 year old when I was having my second daughter. it is written by Brooke Shields & is calld “Welcome to Your World Baby.” It is such a cute book because it was about a big sister teaching her little sister how to do things together. Almost a year later, it is still one of PP’s faves!
There are so many good childrens books now! I also like the books that teach some kind of lesson or encourages good behavior. My favorites though are classics such as any Seuss book- they are just fun to read 🙂
