Plenti and Chili’s – Get points for eating out
This is a sponsored post with Plenti for American Express. Plenti and Chili's – Get points for eating out If you read this blog, then you know that I am big fan of Plenti....
I am someone who has a touch of insomnia and I don't always get a good night's sleep. I am constantly searching for ways that can help me get a better sleep each night.
Did you know that tart cherry juice can help improve quality of sleep?
I am participating in the Tart Cherry Juice 14-Day Sleep Challenge. The 14-day challenge coincides with the end of Daylight Saving Time and the beginning of Standard Time which happens the first weekend of November.
Research shows that switching from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time can compromise sleep rhythms and I have to say that this happens to me every single year. And, with nearly 1/3 of all Americans suffering from sleep disturbances and sales of over- the-counter sleep aids on the rise, now is the time to rethink your sleep and consider more natural ways to get a good night’s rest. Tart Cherry Juice may be just the thing to help you.
It’s not just the quantity of sleep that counts. The quality of your sleep – also known as sleep efficiency – may be even more important. Tart cherries, a natural source of melatonin, may be able to help increase overall sleep efficiency plus a morning and evening ritual of tart cherry juice may help you enhance sleep efficiency. My husband and I will be drinking Tart Cherry Juice twice a day as part of this challenge.
Sleep disturbances impact overall health, and is considered an important risk factor for obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and other health problems. I know that when I don't get enough sleep, I am cranky, stressed and unproductive. Added to the fact that Americans spend more than $84 million on over-the-counter sleep aids each year, leaving many searching for cost-effective, natural ways to help manage their conditions, I know that I need to do something about my insomnia.
Incorporating tart cherry juice into your diet twice a day, either in the form of two 8-ounce glasses of juice or two 1-ounce shots of tart cherry concentrate is an easy and natural way to add a source of melatonin to your diet. Adding tart cherries to your routine may help you naturally get a good night’s sleep. My husband and I are really excited to try this challenge out.
Research has shown that tart cherry juice may help improve the quality and duration of sleep, reduce the severity of insomnia and increase overall sleep efficiency. How great is that? Look at this info:
Join us in the challenge by trying a glass of tart cherry juice when you wake up and when you go to bed for two weeks, or by drinking at least an ounce of tart cherry concentrate twice a day – either in a smoothie, or as a “shot”. Can you do it?
