Tips to Make Mom Life Easier
Tips to Make Mom Life Easier Busy moms, you don’t need anyone to tell you that your juggling act is a challenge. What you need are actionable tips to make your daily life less...
At least you have your health. That is the sort of thing you tell yourself when everything else in your life has gone pear-shaped. While health is one of the most important things you can have, it provides precious little comfort when nothing else is going well. Imagine being chased by a bear. At least you are physically fit enough to run. See what I mean? You would happily trade a little fitness for the luxury of not being chased by a bear. I mean fitness is more than lifting weights. We hope that this Fitness Will Not Matter If You Don’t Have These Things to Go with It post inspires you.
As you might have guessed by now, the bear is a metaphor representing all the vicissitudes of life. That’s a fun little word that relates to what happens when important aspects of your life are set on fire and left for a fetid pile of hot garbage. We’ve all been there.
The fact that you’re reading this means you are a 2020 survivor and doing your best to manage the disappointment of 2021. For many, an extreme focus on fitness is a retreat, a way of hiding out from the truly bad stuff that is so much harder to manage than a few extra pounds. It is time to stop hiding out in fitness and face the bear of everything else. Without these three things, fitness will do you precious little good.
No one can guarantee the future will be bright. But you can make preparations in the event things go cattywampus again. You need life insurance. You can get life insurance that can be used as an investment for when you are alive, or the kind that benefits your loved ones if you die during a set term. If you have preexisting conditions, you will need no medical exam life insurance. This kind of prevents you from being denied for health reasons.
Recently, we learned how vulnerable we all were, and how impotent we are when it comes to protecting the people we love. You think you are prepared for a tornado until a big one comes raging through your town. You can’t stop the storms from entering your life. But you can make preparations in advance that will help you survive them. During such times, your health is not as important as your ability to pick up where you left off as quickly as possible. Before you do another downward dog, get some insurance and better secure your future.
Before you purchase those gifts for your fitness enthusiast friends, you must first make some meaningful friendships. Facebook friends are not necessarily meaningful friends. They are the easiest kind you get from clicking a link on the internet. Sometimes you can get lucky and make a true friend online. But just remember that true friendship is usually not easy. It is a hard-won prize after dealing with the risk and reward, the tragedy and triumph of relationships.
For meaningful friendships, you are going to have to put yourself out there in a way that can be scary. You will have to open yourself to intimacy and vulnerability. You will have to enter the dark corners of someone else’s life and allow them entry into yours. More important than health are the people who remain when yours fails.
One person can make a difference. This planet is a shared home and resource that binds us together whether we like it or not. We have a responsibility to one another. If you want your life to mean something to others, you have to do something for others.
Stephen Hawking was a man who did not have his health. But he made himself into one of the most important thinkers of our time. The world would have been a worse place with Hawking who had more health and no contribution to society. You don’t have to sacrifice your health to be a contributor. But if all you have is good health and no contribution to society, you will question your life choices when it nears the end.
Running on your treadmill has no more benefit than a hamster running its wheel if you don’t combine it with a more secure future, true friends, and a meaningful contribution to society. We hope that this Fitness Will Not Matter If You Don’t Have These Things to Go with It post inspires you. Good luck!
