Directions
To create a beautiful flower bouquet, follow these steps:
- Place the sponge flower blocks at the bottom of your vase.
- Fill the vase with Natural Aspen Wood craft moss.
- Next, place your flower bouquet in the back of the vase, making sure to sink it into the flower block at the bottom. Lightly pull apart the bouquet to fill the width of the vase.
- To make personalized skewers, start by having your children place their hands on a piece of stock paper and trace around them with a pencil. At the bottom of each palm, make a 1.5-2″ long “tab”. This extra piece will be used to attach the paper hands firmly to the skewers.
- Cut out each hand printout and attach it to felt using tacky striping. If this is difficult, you can trace around the paper hand with a marker and then cut it out.
- Once all of your hands are cut out of felt, start attaching them to the skewers. Use double-sided poster adhesive to attach the felt “tab” to the lower palm tab.
- Remove one side of the sticky tape paper and press it firmly onto the felt “tab”. Then remove the other side of the sticky tape and press the top of the skewer firmly into the middle length of the tape. Close the sides of the tape around the skewer and pinch them together for 10 seconds to ensure a nice seal.
- Your hands should now look like flags, and you can start placing the chocolate candies. Find the middle front of each candy and place it on a hand. Hold the felt hand in your hand and place the candy in the middle. Then grasp all of the felt fingers tightly together, turn over, and place the rubber band around the back of the felt hand, making sure to wrap it completely around the chocolate.
- Fluff each hand and place them into your vase, making sure the pointed edge of the skewer goes into the sponge block.
- Finally, arrange your “flowers” to hide the skewers and enjoy your beautiful flower bouquet!
