We have had a good summer. No make that a great summer. We have traveled, played and trekked many miles of the course of the past 8 weeks. I can hardly believe that summer is almost over for my kids and that they are going back to school within a matter of weeks.
The most relaxing time that I have when we are together as a family has got to be when we are all on a boat together. We love going up to Lake Lanier here in Georgia and just hanging out on the water.
The water is cool, refreshing and a little bit freeing. My entire family is calm when we are on the water. We have an amazing time and I really hate for the day to end. Sometimes we just ride around on the lake for an hour or just to check things out. Other times we do it for longer. We always picnic and swim but for me, that first hour is so fun. The wind is whipping my hair everywhere, no one is talking, the radio is on and I feel more relaxed than I have in weeks.
I really cannot wait to get back out onto the water again.

It looks like everyone has been having a great time on the boat! We spend tons of time boating on Black Lake in NY at our camp each summer. There is nothing better than making those lasting memories for the kiddos. 🙂
