Elderflower and Rose Lemonade
Elderflower and Rose Lemonade Do you know how to make elderflower lemonade? Well look no further because we have a lemonade recipe that will put all other drink recipes or lemonade recipes to shame....
Artificial colors?
Artificial flavors?
Lots of sugar?
I want my kids to be happy but at the same time I want to know that what they are consuming has real nutritional value for their growing bodies. So the question for me has been what juice meets both my kids and my expectations. I was a bit surprised to learn that the answer was Capri Sun.
Capri Sun drink pouches, the ones that you see in lunchboxes and on soccer fields across America, are actually free of things like artificial colors and flavors. Capri Sun actually manages to cram in vegetables in their Super-V line (Super-V also happens to be my kids favorite juice). As a parent, that makes me happy. It allows me to relax my concerns a little when I see one of the kids grabbing a juice pouch.
One cool thing that Capri Sun is now doing is producing their juice pouches with clear bottoms. You can actually see the bits of fruit and veggies in the juice. You can see that flavors like fruit punch have no red dye. It’s a pretty cool idea.
Capri Sun makes four lines of product, each offering something a little different.
This is the original line, and as always, the juice contains no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. In addition, these juices contain 25% less sugar than competing brands (16g of sugar compared to 22g of sugar per 6 oz portion in leading juice drink competitors).
Pure juice, nothing else. This line features 100% all natural fruit juice with no added sugar. Each pouch delivers 6 oz of fruit juice, equivalent to 1 ½ servings of fruit according to the US Dietary Guidelines.
Capri Sun 100% Juice: Each pouch provides ¾ cup fruit juice, which is 1 ½ servings of fruit according to the U.S. Dietary Guidelines. As part of a well-balanced diet, eat a variety of fruit every day and be sure to make most of your fruits whole fruit.
This is the Capri Sun flavored water line. It features fruit flavored water, slightly sweetened, with no artificial colors or flavors.
Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters: Consume a variety of beverages every day.
This is our families favorite Capri Sun line of juice pouches. They taste great (no icky veggie flavor to turn off the kids) and deliver one combined serving of fruit and vegetable according to the US Dietary guidelines.
Capri Sun Super V Fruit and Vegetable Juice Drink: Each pouch provides ½ cup fruit and vegetable juice, which is one combined serving of fruits and vegetables according to the U.S Dietary Guidelines (3/4 from fruit juice and ¼ from vegetable juice). Be sure to make most of your fruits and vegetables whole fruits and vegetables.

I love the Capri Sun 100% Fruit Juice drinks and they taste delicious and these drinks are easy to take with me and great to have on hand for a fast drink when we get thirsty.
I like that you reuse the pouches for other things I always wonder about stuff that isnt paper yet isnt metal exactly how best to recycle it. We dont drink Caprii- not because we dont like it but because it is pricey for juice.
I also like freezing the pouches. They are perfect by lunch time.
I must admit that I almost skipped this post because I don’t like to give my child juice; however, I’m happy to hear that they offer natural options now. I still prefer water or smoothies, but this pouch is more convenient.
Idk why I haven’t heard of this. But these seem perfect for lunch time!
I think Capri Sun juice drinks are good myself! I love how the bottoms are clear now so you can see the juice drink.
Our school actually collects them up and sends them somewhere to get money back for the school. It’;s similar to the box top program. They get a certain amount per pouch.
My Grandkids love when I buy them Capri Sun. It is such a special treat for them and it make me happy that it is good for them
I had no idea that Capri Sun now has bits and pieces of real fruits and veggies in them!! That is pretty cool. We used to buy these all the time when my daughter was little and she still asks for them every once in a while. She hasn’t outgrown them yet! 🙂
I’m a real stickler when it comes to my son’s juice. I buy only the healthiest brands I can find. So glad Capri has come aboard to the healthy side. I love their pouches!
I used to drink Capri Sun as a kid and LOVED the juice pouches! I am so glad that they’re healthier now so I don’t feel so bad for offering them to my son.
I grew up on this stuff living in West Germany, long before they began offering it in the U.S. Was called “Capri Sol” over there, and I swear it was like a pouch full of sugar water!
My kids loved capri suns. They don’t get them as often now that they’re older. I’m turning into a water pusher now.
I’m a huge Capri Sun fan. They’ve been in my family as long as I can remember.
I really like how the juice is clear like that too. It definitely gives you a better feeling knowing those nasty color chemicals aren’t in there.
We drink Capri Sun all the time, I should make something with the pouches!
I really like that the juice is clear and the bottom is clear so you know what you’re drinking. Juice pouches are a life saver at our house.
The kids love Capri Sun at the pool. Perfect pool drinks!
We pick up a box a week for school lunches. Capri Sun is big in our house. 🙂
I’m a huge fan of Capri Sun! Everyone in our house loves them.
My son loves juices and I have started to be really worried about all the chemicals, and the amount of sugar, he’s intaking. I would love to find an option like this!
Bubbles enjoys Capri Sun pouches now and then, but I have to admit to loving them, myself. I drank them all through high school and college, and never really stopped! They’re very refreshing.
I don’t like the water ones, but sign me up for pretty much any of the other kinds. I probably drink them more than my son.
