Supplies
Directions
- Clean the glass vanity jar(s) thoroughly with Dawn dish detergent to remove any dirt/grease and Goo Gone to get rid of anything else. Allow to dry completely.
- I used the chalk paint to thoroughly coat the entire jar. I wasn't worried about uneven strokes or lines from the brush because I knew that I would be sanding the jar so any unevenness would only add character. I let the paint dry for about 2 hours and then did one more chalk paint coat. This time I waited overnight for it to dry completely. Chalk paint drys pretty fast.
- Next I removed the tape and used a utility knife to get rid of any tape that didn't easily come off. I used a sanding block to sand various areas on the glass vanity jar for the aged shabby chic look.
- Your jar is finished and ready to be displayed.
