Girls' Night In: Fruity White Sangria Recipe plus Book Club the Movie #BookClub
A few weeks ago on a flight, I finally had the opportunity to watch the movie Book Club. I laughed the entire time because this film resonated with me. Starring Jane Fonda, Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen, Book Club features a stellar cast with these four Hollywood icons. The film centers around Diane (played by Diane Keaton, of course) who is recently widowed after her 40-year marriage. The women are four lifelong friends who decide to read the infamous Fifty Shades of Grey for their monthly book club and it turns their lives hilariously upside down. They meet to discuss the books they read plus so much more.
The movie is all about female friendship which made me want to watch it again with some of my close female friends for a fun, girls night in. The overarching message of the film is that it is never too late to start the next chapter of your life which you can absolutely make the best chapter of your life. You can live life to the fullest at any age plus pursue goals, find love and so much more. This film is all about female friendship as these women discover new (and old) romances and rekindle old flames along with supporting, enjoying and encouraging each other.
Did you know that you can download Book Club on iTunes? That's right. Make plans to watch it with your girlfriends this weekend and be sure to check out all of the extras like hilarious bonus content, deleted scenes, and more. Keep reading to learn more.
Fruity White Sangria Recipe
Ingredients
1 btl white wine (pick one you really enjoy but not too sweet)
1 lime, thin sliced
1 lemon, thin sliced
2 honeycrisp apples, cut into wedges
3 peaches, cut into wedges
1 plum, cut into wedges
1/2 cup blueberries
3 Tbsp sugar
Directions
Cut up all of your fruit.
Combine all ingredients in a pitcher. I prefer to use a pitcher that can be sealed.
Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Serve over ice cubes and garnish with a piece of fruit on the rim of the wine glass, if desired.
Toast and enjoy!
