Shine Bright This Holiday Season with Rudolph
As a child I remember my sister and I anxiously awaiting the annual showing of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer on television. We would mark it on a calendar and remind our parents over and...

Disconnecting from technology and connecting with my family was one of my resolutions last year. I have stuck with it to the best of my ability. It’s important for me to be close with my family. At the end of the day, they are all that matters. Here are some tips I want to pass on to you about disconnecting with the family.
It’s no joke that I’m busy and my kids are extremely busy. However, I still make it a point to pick a time each week and we get together. Whether it’s movie and pizza or a game night, we are all in. My family knows that each week, they better be there. That is how we all decompress and enjoy each other.
I truly believe that one of the only ways to connect with the family is to disconnect from technology. Technology has its place every day, but when you’re with your family, Facebook and the Internet can wait. Again, your kids and family are who will be there are the end of the day.
When it comes to disconnecting with the family and leaving technology behind, you need to make the moments count. You may not have a million minutes to spend together, which is why disconnecting is so important.
The Basket of Warmth is unlike anything you have ever seen before. It is something that keeps your freshly baked Sister Schubert’s® rolls warm throughout dinner. Get this though, it only works if your family’s phones are plugged into it. What a way to keep the family accountable in the disconnecting area. It not only keeps the rolls warm throughout dinner, but it also charges the phones, while keeping them out of the way during family dinnertime. Sister Schubert’s Dinner Yeast Rolls are the only rolls we serve around here. They are soft, delicious, and so homey!
I bought my Sister Schubert’s Dinner Yeast Rolls at Walmart, the best place to shop! Sister Schubert’s Dinner Yeast Rolls provide homemade taste and a buttery scent in about 5-10 minutes.
Using my tips and the Basket of Warmth, my family and I were able to disconnect from life and connect with each other.
We make this absolutely delicious recipe every year around the holidays. It is such a great recipe because it combines a lot of the leftover ingredients from any big holiday meal.

I like this basket. Not only does it look nice but it keeps the phones out of reach. It’s very functional. Spending time with family without the disruption of the internet is important.
How cool is that basket! Very neat. I lOVE disconnecting, but sometimes it can be hard for others to do it. I think this is a great idea, keeping them just out of sight for a bit!
Disconnecting is something we need to start doing as a family. It’s hard to put down our phones when so much we do can be done from them. I will agree that family is more important though and I personally need to put these tips into practice.
Those rolls look delicious! I love the idea of putting the electronics down, we do family dinner every Friday and try to play games and do all sorts of unplugged stuff.
We have a deal, no phones at dinner time! But we need to get better of making more time to spend together!
Those rolls look really good. I need to pick up a pack or two and try them out. I love rolls!
