Did you know that Goodwill stores are a great place to find fashion at affordable prices? I have always known this and I have shopped at Goodwill for years. This year Goodwill is celebrating their 90th birthday and they are all about style.
Goodwill of North Georgia is celebrating 90 years of putting people to work in North Georgia! When you stop at Goodwill of North Georgia, all proceeds help to support the mission of putting people to work. This year Goodwill will help 20,000 people in North Georgia find jobs
We had such a fun time shopping at Goodwill of North Georgia and we created this fabulous, upcycled DIY fall outfit using ONLY items purchased at our local store.
We found a really nice, heavy denim jacket that can be worn throughout the fall and winter. We paired with a classic white shirt and knee high black boots. We then added this print skirt with a little flair. We are thrilled with how cute the outfit turned out. It looks great!
This year, Goodwill of North Georgia and The2econdFloor have teamed up to host a local fashion event called RE2URRECTION in order to raise money. The RE2URRECTION fashion show is happening tomorrow evening right here in Atlanta, October 15th from 7pm-10pm ET at the Mason Fine Art gallery.
The RE2URRECTION fashion show will feature a group of talented, up-and-coming fashion designers and artists who will breathe new life into a variety of clothing found hanging on racks at Goodwill’s stores. How amazing is that?
The Fashion designers participating in the show are given $50 to shop at any Goodwill of North Georgia store and produce 2 pieces crafted from Goodwill clothing. The theme of the overall fashion show is Rock Star Glam and will be Fall/Winter seasoned. In addition, each of these transformed pieces will be showcased on the runway tomorrow night and they will be also auctioned off to benefit Goodwill of North Georgia’s mission to put people to work.
More than 300 guests are expected to attend and are mix of Atlanta’s art and fashion-minded people along with area philanthropists and business leaders.

I love the skirt and the boots! This Goodwill fashion show would be a great event to attend. I just wished I lived close to Georgia!
I love Goodwill. It’s a great place to find pre-owned clothing, furniture, housewares and other treasures. I would love to attend this event. Sounds fun
What a fabulous outfit! I absolutely love thrift shopping but never have great luck with clothes around here. Boo!
I love the outfit. This sounds like a great event. It will be fun to see what these up-and-coming fashion designers and artists will come up with. I hope they reach their target with this campaign.
I love the skirt and boots look this time of year! I like to layer mine with tights or leggings because it’s already chilly here!
I love shopping at our local Goodwills. They get brand new with tags items from Target and Old Navy. We find great stuff.
We have a Goodwill around us but we also have some really good thrift stores too. I love going to Goodwill to donate and to pick up some great items.
Oh my gosh, that looks very stylish. I haven’t visited Goodwill in a while but everytime I go there, I find something really nice!
I really love your outfit you found! So pretty. My dad loves GoodWill and shops there everyday! =)
Wow you have found so great pieces! It is amazing what quality items you can find at Good Will!
I haven’t bought clothes from Goodwill, but I did buy home decor for such an affordable price. Bet the fashion show would be awesome. Have fun!
What an awesome outfit you created. We have a Goodwill Boutique here in the area. Pretty awesome.
These types of events are too much fun! When I was living in Orlando I went to one and it was so cool to see what outfits could be made out of donations!
Growing up my Mom and I would shop the Thrift Stores on Saturday. That was our date and I love it.
It’s a good time to shop Goodwill. With Halloween coming up, so many fun ideas for costumes!
I don’t really wear boots with my skirts and such, but this outfit is too cute. I love it, and would definitely wear it.
Those boots are very adorable! My son loves shopping at Goodwill, hope he keeps that up!
