25 DIY Christmas Card Holders
25 DIY Christmas Card Holders The holidays are here and if your home is anything like mine, Christmas cards from friends are rolling in. I love to display all of the faces of my...
We are avid crafters in this family. I absolutely love doing crafts with the kids and my kids are always begging me to buy more supplies so we can create fun things. We make gifts, cards and so much more.
The kids and I had such a fun time creating this really fun picture frame. We made it for my father because he is the one who introduced me to Twizzlers many years ago.
1. Gather your supplies. We used a glue gun, glue stick, Twizzlers Pull n' Peel Candy in Raspberry, Wild Berry and Lemonade and a frame. We purchased the wood frame from our local craft store for $4.99.
2. Please note that the Twizzlers Twists shown in the picture were used for sustenance and eaten during the creation of our picture frame. They are delicious and we highly recommend trying them out during your next craft project or really anytime.
3. To make the large Twizzlers wheels, we used one entire piece of the Twizzlers Pull n' Peel Candy. To make the smaller wheels, we cut each rope in half. The key is to roll each one very tight so you cannot see through them. They stick together well and it is easy to then place them on the frame.
4. It is time to glue them on the frame. The key to using the hot glue is to use a lower setting for the glue. The hotter setting might make the candy melt but the lower setting works just fine. We swirled the glue around to lightly cover all of the twists. We wanted these things to stick.
5. To begin with, we glued a Twizzlers wheel on each side the frame and then added two more so that they looked even. You have a few seconds once you place it down so that you can re-arrange if necessary. I held each one down for about 10 seconds to make certain they were going to stay in place.
TIP: Since the glue is clear, don't worry about making mistakes. I had to pull one Twizzlers wheel off because it was a little crooked. Other wheels could easily be straightened since the glue had not yet dried.
Besides being of my absolute favorite snacks, Twizzlers definitely makes every summer activity sweeter with a fruity, long-lasting treat to entertain everyone. We especially love Twizzlers Twists, which are offered in a resealable bag for convenient on-the-go sharing.
This fun #HersheysSummer and #TwizzlersSummerFun project inspired us to have even more fun with Twizzlers.
That is absolutely adorable! The only down side I see to this is that I can’t eat the Twizzlers. =(
That’s a really fun diy idea! They look so cool wrapped up like that!
It is whimsical and SO cute! I would have never thought to do this! What a pretty patriotic frame! Thanks for the idea!
That is such a cute idea. I never would have thought to do this, but I l think my kids would love it.
What a fun way to use them. Very patriotic. And I think it turned out great. I bet everyone who sees it compliments it.
Oh this is really fun! Very creative too. Love the colors and totally works. Very cute!
I think that is a cute idea. What do you clear coat the twizzlers with to avoid beginning ants in to the home? Ants are attracted to sweet stuff.
What a cute and creative idea. Twizzlers is one of my all time favorite movie snack. I always smuggle them into the theater in my purse.
Omg these are seriously the coolest twizzlers of all times. I literally got so excited when I saw these I went and showed my hubby and he laughed at me lol… I’m so getting some of these for Memorial Day!
This is such a cute idea, although I am not sure how many twists would make it to the picture frame instead of my mouth. I can see a Fourth of July photo fitting perfectly inside too!
this is very cute and perfect for this weekend! My only concern would be my girls eating the entire bag before finishing our craft 🙂
I’d be tempted to eat all the Twizzlers before they made it onto the frame. I haven’t seen the Patriotic version yet, but will have to look next time I am at the store!
This is such a cute idea. I love how simple it is to do. I will have to try making one.
What an awesome idea! I’m so trying it! Let’s hope I can do this while my toddler sleeps.
That is so cute! I’d be tempted to eat them all though 😉
Clever projects make wonderful gifts. I wonder how many Twizzlers would end up in our tummies before completing a project. Thanks for the great idea and project.
What a fun colorful idea. I bet our kids would love to do this one with me! Will have to get the supplies and do it before July. Would be a fun gift too!
This is soo cute! Who would of thought to put candy as a frame decor. Simply amazing. Nice project to do during a rainy day.
That frame is too cute. Couldn’t let my boys know what it was made of or else it would get devoured.
Talk about a “sweet” frame – it really is. I didn’t realize that they made patriotic Twizzlers – I’ll have to look for them. Such a fun craft!
What a fun frame. I would more than I would glue though.
What a fun project. I enjoy Twizzlers from time to time. I have never seen the patriotic ones. What a fun craft.
I would be WAY too tempted to eat them! Even with the glue on it, haha.
That is different. Interesting way to use it.

Twizzlers are on my weakness, but I haven’t seen these Twizzlers before. I’ll definitely have to be on the lookout!
Definitely one of the most interesting crafts I’ve ever seen! So cool!
Haha this is neat! Looks very patriotic as well 😛
In all honesty though, I couldn’t craft with candy. I really wouldn’t be able to do it…. I would eat the supplies lol
I laugh, only it’s completely true :/
