I have been a Comcast customer for years and we have loved our cable. As avid television watchers, we love our DVR. You may recall last month when I posted about Ty and shared about the X1 with you:

The features of the X1 platform have something for everyone – whether you want to quickly get to your favorite TV shows and movies with the On Demand feature or take your shows on the go on your tablet, it’s got tons of new functions to play with. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I ADORE the On Demand feature as does my entire family. It seems like we are watching show OnDemand more and more.
By combining the coolest features and the fastest speed to bring together TV and internet, the X1 platform is an awesome choice for families on the go and is loaded with great content for when you want to slow down and spend time together. This is perfect for my family so we can watch our favorite shows and movies when we have time to watch them together.
The Guide. The coolest thing ever is the new look of the X1 guide. It is intuitive, very easy to use and makes your television watching so much more enjoyable. With the new on-screen menu from the X1 operating system, you can find your guide, saved shows, On Demand, search across all platforms, apps like Pandora or weather and settings to check for service problems in your area all on one screen!
The Search Feature. With the revamped search feature, see what’s on live TV, XFINITY On Demand and your DVR, all in one place. Just search for a title, genre or actor, and instantly find what you’re looking for. What we really love is that you can use your remote to type in a search and the keys on the remote function just like a phone. It is genius!
The Recommendations. Personalization is taken to a new level with the X1 platform – Discover new favorites with recommendations based on what you’re watching. Select any program and scroll down to “More Like This”. You will see a list of similar movies and shows you might enjoy or other programs with specific cast or crew members, simplifying the never-ending task of picking something to watch on a Wednesday night!
The Customization. The X1 platform takes your favorite actors, shows, teams and movies to customize great choices for your whole family to watch, from the kids’ endless cartoons to The Walking Dead on Sunday nights. We can all program the shows we want to watch with minimal effort. It is fast and easy to find your favorite shows. You can even set up text and email alerts that notify you when an On Demand program is ordered. We ordered a movie last night and the email arrived within 30 minutes telling me about the order.
Parental Controls. Parental controls are easily-accessible and easy to figure out on the X1 platform – Be in control of your television with a four-digit PIN that lets you lock programs by rating, channels or titles, and that prevents unwanted purchases of XFINITY On Demand or Pay-Per-View programs.
