Visiting St. Louis, Missouri
Do you want to...
My family travels a lot. As a blogger and travel writer, I find myself frequently taking weekend trips as we love to check out great places to stay that are close to home.
One thing that I always look for in any hotel that we are staying at for more than one night is the kid friendly aspect. Number one on my kid's list is a pool. If there is a pool, then they are happy.
However, my oldest is somewhat of an explorer. He loves to check out whatever place we are staying and see what else they have for him to do. This past weekend, we stayed at the Omni Hotel here in downtown Atlanta.
ABOUT OMNI HOTELS
Omni Hotels & Resorts was included in Parents “10 Best Hotel Chains for Families” list, recognizing the various programs offered to traveling families at hotel chains across the U.S. The luxury brand is best known for the Omni Sensational Kids program, which includes a unique, “Discovery” welcome backpack with a 32-page fold-out map including travel games, crayons, magnifying glass and more. In addition to the fun-filled bag, children staying at Omni are treated to milk and cookies on their first night, a great way to end a day of adventures and exploring. An additional family travel offering is the Omni Kids’ Suites, which feature one-of-a-kind designs with colorful children’s furniture and bedding, beanbag chairs, games, books, an art center and other activities in their own guest room – with parents in a connecting guest room (available at select properties).

Check in was quick and easy. In less than five minutes, we were headed up to our room. Our family had adjoining rooms. A king room for myself and my husband with a double room for the kids. The rooms were well appointed with luxurious linens and included plush robes that my children enjoyed wearing.
Within 15 minutes of checkin, there was a knock on our door. We were given the cheese and fruit tray below along with some hand written notes welcoming us to the hotel.
A few minutes later there was another knock on the door and the treats below were delivered for our children who were literally screaming in delight .
We had dinner in the restaurant that evening and while dinner was a little long for my taste (over two hours), we really enjoyed ourselves and the food.
We were invited to the hotel so that my family and I could check out Camp Omni. One of my concerns at any hotel is will there be enough for my kids to do. At the Omni, along with the pool, they offer Camp Omni.
Camp Omni takes family vacations to a whole new level, offering deluxe accommodations, 15% discount when you stay two nights, kids’ gift cards to be redeemed anywhere in the hotel, a scavenger hunt with a prize upon completion and a welcome amenity. Our ‘Camp Counselors’ will call in advance to help you plan your adventure with us.

A camp concierge camp to our room to bring the kids all of the information they needed to get started including backpacks, water bottles, scavenger hunt information of course, their very own gift cards which they couldn't wait to spend. We took off within 10 minutes to start the scavenger hunt.
The perfect ending to our evening was the “dirt & worms” dessert had that evening at the restaurant by all three kids. They absolutely loved everything about Camp Omni.
My kids had an amazing time during the weekend and loved all of the kids only designed activities. We all had such a wonderful experience. We cannot wait to go back.

I love seeing post like this! It makes me happy to live in a city with such great offerings for families! Great post Stacie!
I’m the same way with my daughter when we travel – worrying about what she’ll do to stay busy. Love Camp Omni! I’ll have to see if they accept 13 year olds. Your photos are fantastic and of course, your kids are the cutest!
We did our Camp Omni stay in San Diego. We had a great time, looks like your family did too! I would love to visit the one in Atlanta. Thanks for sharing!
