There is nothing more comforting to me than bundling up in blankets and watching a good movie with my family. We love watching movies together and we especially do this more during the holidays. The holidays are an amazing time to build family memories – plan your next movie night by downloading one of your favorite Fox Christmas titles on iTunes now.
A CHRISTMAS CAROL
It is no surprise that Ebeneze Scrooge hates Christmas, people and pretty much everything else. This classic Dickens story, A Christmas Carol is set in the 19th century where Scrooge exploits his employee, Bob Cratchit plus treats his nephew and acquaintances in a not so nice manner as well.
Everything changes on Christmas Eve, when he is visited by the chained ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley. His business partner, who died seven years ago, was even more mean & miserable than Scrooge. Marley tells Scrooge that three spirits will be visiting him that night and warns him to change his ways or face the consequences in the afterlife. Scrooge clearly doesn't yet believe as he dismisses his former partner.
The spirit of Christmas past walks Scrooge through his happy childhood. He sees events in his past life, both happy and sad, that forged his character and made him the person that he is today.
The spirit of Christmas present shows him how the people he knows are celebrating Christmas today. He see the bad situation of Bob's family and how happy his nephew Fred and his fiancée Bessy are.
The spirit of Christmas future shows Scrooge how he will be remembered once he is gone and shows him his fate.
All spirits visit in one night leaving him with the opportunity to change his ways. Scrooge discovers that life is good and redeems himself with those in his life making it a merry Christmas indeed.
