How to Fight Jet Lag
How to Fight Jet Lag I love to travel. There are still so many places that I want to see in the world and as a travel writer, I am always planning my next...
I wrote this post as part of my participation in a blog tour for The Motherhood on behalf of the makers of Children’s MOTRIN® and received compensation to thank me for taking the time to participate. However, all opinions expressed are my own.
This year I have been working with Children’s MOTRIN® on their Unstoppable Moms campaign. In case you missed the first two posts, here they are:
6 Tips for Staying Unstoppable During the Holidays
I learned a few things this year about truly staying unstoppable. While one of the things that I stressed was taking time for yourself, another thing that I really want to stress is to take time for your family. That's right.
As moms I think that the majority of us would say that we do take time for our families, right? However, I began to notice that this time I was taking was really stressful to me. I was trying to do too many things and I honestly wasn't enjoying myself when I was with my family because I was always worried about all of those other things that I needed to get done.
So for our family, in order for all of us to stay unstoppable, we take a tech time out everyday from 5-8. No technology means no phones, no computers, no tv. While that sounds like a lot, the results were amazing.
We have started playing board games and card games every night. UNO is our favorite but we play a lot of others as well.
We also really enjoy being with each other. I no longer worry about the things I haven't done or need to do because I know that I will have time after the kids go to bed.
I have really had a lot of fun watching my kids become good sports and get better at the games we are playing.
This tech timeout on a daily basis has really been a sanity saver for me and it has been great for our entire family.

Motrin is such a great product. I am really glad that it is so safe for kids to take when they are sick.
Its hard when you are sick and have to take a day or two off to get better. Seems like there’s a lot to be done when you go back to work. I just try to stay healthy.
What makes us unstoppable is my oldest. She’s a warrior! After her surgeries this summer we relied on Motrin a lot- never let me down.
Making time for ourselves as moms is something that is very important!
Motrin is always a part of my kids medicines especially when they are sick.
